Ok, ok.. im trying realllyyyy hard to contain myself. Last night I found a link to a america site which does Fingerprint trees for about $150 dollars.. as our budget is tight we are creating our own. Picture of our tree will be in my albums in a minute, ink is costing us £2 for each colour pad we want (2) lol.

Basically guests write their name at the end of a branch, put their finger on the Ink Pad then place it over their name Like a guest book that can be framed:) Although we are putting these side by side at the party.

weve got a tree thingy and a birdcage that sis has booked for us. guests hang their wishes or good luck on a tag and its attached to a tree, the lady takes it away and makes it into a guest book for us using the tags, and the birdcage is part of the package for our cards. also ive found out from mum that dad booked us a photobooth which we get a cd of all the piccies and a dvd of people sending us good luck wishes too!!!!

the tree is in my photoalbum! xxx

Louait - That sounds like a lovely idea :) I love photobooths i think they could be really good fun but knowing my family in law their would be some strange pictures creeping in. LOL

We saw this a while back for about £30 but i think its catching on - there was some on advertising one on here for about £100 not including a frame or anything :s
We are definitely going to do it - love the idea!

The £5 is just for the tree printed on paper though Becky, We can print it on Card personalised and get a frame for that £5 :)

We've put on our wedding site that we are doing it and everyone loves it idea :D I Can't wait to do it now though

That is an amazing idea! I think we may go for this, we were thinking of having a picture of us in a large frame, and people could sign around the edge of it, but I love this idea! going to bookmark it.

I think it's a much better idea than people signing a picture, cause I always thought it'd be a shame for it not to be a wedding picture. Though I suppose you could leave a space blank for a wedding picture but I think the finger print thing is so much more personal and people don't even need to think of what to write!

Don't understand how they're so expensive in places though?!

Me either holly, I could not believe my eyes but being a cheapskate i knew i could do it for less. The Ink we brought was £1.27 each The Card we already have and the frame we are looking at is only a few quid too. Think i might start selling them hahaha!

I have seen these about and think they are a great idea, but im looking at the wishing trees where people write their congrats on cute little cards and hang them on the branches instead so I can have it on a shelf. : )
