    Hello All,
I was just wondering how did you all find your hairdressers/MUA? Was it just by searching online or recommendations? Also what is the average you paid for trial and on the day? Trying to work out a budget for it but prices are all so different! (I want hair and make up for me and my mum and hair only for bridesmaids)

    Thanks in advance

I'm getting married in America, but I just went off research, through a wedding forum where the reviews were from real brides.

I am having a trial in the UK though, which is only costing £30 which I can't quite believe for an hour and a half...I must have it wrong seems too cheap!

I was searching online and also looked at recommendations. I think the prices depend whether they are salon based or independent. Mine is costing 300 for me, three bridesmaids and my mum.

I searched online and through a local weddings group on FB and got quotes. I mainly went on photos that had been uploaded and past reviews.

Agree with Michelle.. I only have my hair cut 3 times a year but would still only ave my hairdresser do mine.

I had an event last October (wedding this October) and ashed for an 'up do' for it. Literally that was all i gave her and i was so impressed i booked her for my wedding.

Makeup was more difficult. I asked for local recommendations on make up on book of face and wasn't happy with suggestions I got. My sister then sent me a suggestion she had seen but wasn't made for me on same site and she appears really good. Hoping to have a trial soon.

My venue recommended a few hair/makeup stylists which I got in contact with I was very shocked at the cost of bridal hair and makeup just for myself was over £300 I was being quoted!! Iv then done a bit of my own research online and came across a lovely mobile hairdresser who lives in my local area, she had done bridal hair and makeup so I looked at her portfolio of her work and ended up booking her for £240 including my hair/makeup trial. It does help to look around! I have someone to do my bridesmaids and flower girls hair to help cut the cost x
