Wedding Forum - Finally found photographer!...

We have finally found our photographer and booked them - yayl

It has been such a gruelling task at times and caused some stress. We originally met with 3, 1 was too pricey and wanted to charge nearly £400 extra to get high res images. We were then between the other 2, one seemed a bit timid and disorganized and the other had some images that looked a little too photo shopped. We liked the timid ones work so were going to discuss things further with her and left her a message before we went to Exmoor for a few days where we had no signal. When we got back she told us she was in talks with a bride in oz for our date but would hold off with her until she spoke to me the next evening. However when she rang the next night and I tried to discuss prices she told me that she had agreed to take the other brides deposit the night before! I was pretty annoyed as she said she would talk to us first, as we had met her but obviously not. I was upset and really wasn't forward to going back to square one and looking again.

After a few days we looked back at the ones we had met at wedding fayres and my original research and contacted a few more for prices. We liked the price and photos of one and met with them last Wednesday. They are a husband wife team and we just clicked with them right away. They were so nice and organised and their photos were fantastic, a cut above the rest really. We loved their work and it just felt 'right'. They are still in our budget and we get two photographers for the price of one, which is great - really happy.

Thanks ladies. We're so happy with our choice, the other one obviously was not meant to be. We've got such a better deal for our money and saved some money as well - yay.

Just waiting for the paperwork to come so we can pay the deposit.

Glad you have found your photographer - must be a massive weight off your shoulders :) I'm just relieved my dad has sorted our photographer out for us so we haven't had to go through the stress and confusion! My dad is a photographer himself and he really wanted to make sure we got the right person x

We also found looking for a photographer stressful. I thought it was going to be easy but it was so confusing. After a few months we finally booked our photographer which ended up being the very first one we saw at a wedding fayre :)

I think it is perhaps one of the hardest things to sort, especially if you don't know or have anyone in the business. Things have gone from quiet to busy with us at the moment.
