I need to do a little explanation first before I get to the point, sorry!
We are planning to have a cake made of cheese for our wedding. Our venue have just told us that we can't provide our own crackers to go with the cheese and that their charge for crackers (and chutney, grapes and celery) is £3.50 per person. That could easily add on an unexpected £150-200 to our costs, when buying crackers from the supermarket would cost us less than £15.
I had been planning to make home made fudge for our favours, but now I'm wondering about have two lots of favours. I'm now thinking of doing home made crackers to go with the cheese (or to package up some supermarket crackers nicely!), as well as the fudge, as crackers on their own seems a bit boring.
That way we'd get around the charge for crackers and still have something to go with the cheese.
What does anyone think of this idea? Is it a silly one?

I think it's a great idea and a good way to get round the charge - £3.50 per head for some crackers sounds a bit extortionate!! You could include a little note with the favours explaining what the crackers are for as well :) x

I think it's a great idea too! I think putting a little note in like Flossie has suggested would be good xx
