Hi every body. My H2B and I are farmers and we want our theme to be around this but not take over as i like to be a girl for the day! so I am asking for any ideas on how to dress up the venue? I have already a cake topper. Its a couple on a tractor with tyres trailing behind. any suggestions please? :)

Could you do something with farm plants instead of flowers? Or cuddly farm animals. Maybe even a petting zoo.

Where are you getting married? if its on a farm type setting you could have hay bales as seating for the ceremony. xx

I've seen loads of photos of hay bales with vintage fabrics and cushions to turn them into sofas! looks fab!
    Heres a few ideas:
    horseshoes for decoration
mini jars of honey or preserves for favours
centerpieces with fruit, wheat, pumpkins etc
chalkboard for table plan/directions/order of service etc

The ceremony is in a small church and then to a hotel venue. As I wanted it to be weddingy not 'a party' you can have any time, we are having a farmers barn do a couple months later with out the need to dress up! I am going to grow my own flowers and put them in jam jars tied by baler twine on the ends of the pews and then bring them back to the venue too. Also thinking of having milk jugs as the center pieces vases. We are on a bit of a budget and would like them to be home made :)

Wheat in the wedding flowers? Hay bales are a great idea... What about wheelbarrow to hold seeds as favours?

Wellies for pictures and because my other half is an agri engineer and now works for a Claas dealership, he's having the new Xerion as his wedding vehicle :) Have a chat to dealerships, they are normally happy to lend out big machines as long as you've got an experienced driver :)

We are actually having a John Deere tractor from church to venue from a dealership, that was a must for us both! We have someone doing it up and bringing it to the church, we drive it to the venue and the other guy take it back later on! haha Pictures with it ofc!!!
