I've decided that I am now going to not send out standard ready printed Evening Invitations where you write everything inside, you know those ones you can just buy in any stationary shop or supermarket then write in the names and details yourself.

So I'm back to V!st@pr!nt to get proper ones printed up to match the day invitations I sent out a couple of weeks ago.

With the day invitations I had matching RSVP cards and matching envelopes printed too to complete the look.

However, with the evening invitations I wanted to save a little cash and trying to cut a few corners (but didn't want the pre-made/printed generic invites that are shop bought). So, do I need special RSVP cards for the evening invitations too? Or can I just ask people on a shortened version of the info sheet (I'm removing all info about the full day and gift list as not wanting evening guests to try and purchase a gift) I can insert with the invite to RSVP by e-mail? Everyone I'm sending to in on e-mail or can drop me a text.

What are you all doing for Evening Invites RSVP's?

    Thanks
    xx

my evening invites are exactly same as my day, just having wording altered slightly, they are having same info sheets and the rsvp will just have wil/will not attend & no dietary requirements like the day 1s.
But they are all being done together at same time.
We are putting email and phone numbers on too so im sure people will respond any which way they see fit too!
I can understand why you want to save for evening so i dont see any problem with having email or phone! x

We havent put RSVP cards in any of our invites but written a note asking them to RSVP by post and the address or email by xxx date so could you do that for your evening invites? xxx

    Thanks lula and millz.

My sister just text me and said that she asked her evening guests to just e-mail their RSVP's and didn't include RSVP cards either. She said a short info sheet with venue info, time good is served and the RSVP e-mail address will be fine.

Think I might just do that, sounds like I'm not the first person to do this and if it saves me even a tenner I'm happy, the wedding costs are getting out of control!

oh definitely, every £10 here or there sure helps. we would probably have done something like that but its only costing us like £2 for the evening 1s so... make sense for me to stick with those.

Oh phew, I'm glad I'm not the only one doing something simpler for the evening invites, there won't be many anyway but every penny helps at the moment as we're getting our house renovated and with the wedding our bank accounts are taking a right bashing.

I feel so poor right now!

I think the email rsvps is a great idea. It will make it easier on your guests as well.

Thanks hun. I have given the day guests the option too of sending e-mail RSVP's rather than sending back the cards included with the invitations. Many have responded by e-mail so I think this is the way people are going now, the cards received back are generally from the older generation who don't have access to a computer.

We are having much simpler invites for the evening guests too, literally just a postcard style with a bit of ribbon and embellishment.

We are sending cards out with the day invites, however also telephone number and email, I expect that the bulk won't post the cards back to be honest...

But defo just a telephone number/email address on the evening invites for us....

I have done full invites, RSVP's etc for my day guests and a simple post card type for the evening guests with an email address for RSVP. Working well so far! I got mine from Vista too, x

Excellent. Thanks ladies. Feel so much better about doing it this way now knowing most are not sending formal RSVP cards with evening invites. Just condensing the "info" sheet I did for day guests and only keeping in the bits relevant for evening guests and changing some of the wording a but so it's more appropriate. Removed all the gift list info, menu options etc.
