I was just wondering what people are having for their evening entertainment, we are just having a DJ and that is all, I was wondering if that will be enough or whether a DIY photo booth type thing may be worth while? What are other peoples thoughts? :-)

I am also thinking of having a photo booth just for something that people would have a laugh with, although it just depends on if I have money left in my budget. I have been to lots of wedding that just have a DJ and they have still been fun, people will most probably be talking and getting to know each other anyway so won't notice whats going on :) x

We are also liking the idea of a DIY photobooth - we were thinking about buying a white backdrop but there is a spare room in our venue that would be perfect as a backdrop anyway as the walls are covered with old book cases and it looks really lovely. But if you needed a backdrop I have seen a few people who have just used white bed sheets so this would be cheap!

We looked into getting a polaroid cameras which are not too pricey, but I nearly had a heart attack when I saw how expensive the films are! There are a few alternative instant printing cameras in Arg0$ but not looked into them in that much detail at the mo. Failing that, we'll just provide a digital camera and get them printed ourselves after the big day.

There are some very cheap props on 3bay as well.

Other than that, we are just having a DJ in the evening. We are having a harpist playing through the wedding breakfast as well.

We liked the idea of having life size games to make use of the beautiful outside space we have, but if it chucks it down with rain then we wouldn't want them and the money we'd have spent going to waste xx

I had a photo booth for my 25th birthday and it was brilliant! People could not stop talking about it for weeks after. It cost £600 for three hours from LINK REMOVED BY MODERATORS. It was a lot of money but a great surprise for everyone and definitely worth it. It came with a lot of extras too and everyone had their own copy to take with them.

Also, the picture quality was miles better than any other photo booth companies that I had researched.

I saw the props online and also debated just using my ipad as the camera, there is actually an app you can download to use as a wedding photo booth, just wasn't sure if it would look a bit too thrown together!
Also unsure what to do about a backdrop and trying to think of a spot in the venue to put it, although you can get a tripod online for only about £15/£20 then you can just arrange for the pictures to be printed when required!
    What do you think?

I think it would be fab. In my opinion it's something that you don't need to spend loads of money on. Your guests will still have loads of fun taking photos of themselves and I think the photos are fab to have as a keepsake.. can get some real funny ones! All you need to do is buy a scrap book/sketch book and stick all the photos in and you have yourself a lovely album :) I love the idea x

The photobooth is included in my photo package. Thought it was a great way for people to be silly but not in my proper photos :) x

most people tend to 'just' have a dj and that is more than enough. Though we are hiring a photobooth which we will have for 3 hours. Wanted one from the start and considered setting my own up but I quickly realised I couldn't be bothered organising it so we just ended up booking one. Really excited for it :)

Plenty of people do do there own, plus some photogs offer it as part of a package as well, then there's the hiring of them seperately which is what we have done.

I'm thinking DJ for the evening so far we will also be having during day and evening garden games for kids and of course big kids to play with on the Museum green. The only thing with photo booths is they are everywhere and I kinda want something different so if H2B really wants something like that it will be more of a DIY one :) We are asking people to hashtag when taking pics so we can do a online/social media album for fun :)

We've booked an 'up close' magician for during the photos and a caricature for during the evening. Considered a photo booth but a friend did one recently so wanted something a little different. Guests get to take home their caricature after too.

We did a photobooth - got some great pics and guests of all ages loved it! Our company gave us a memory stick with all the images on which was a nice keepsake too
