Ok, so...h2b called the registrar today to book the ceremony. Only time I wanted is the only time booked already on that day. So annoying! So, we can have 1pm or 3pm instead. Called venue who said better to go for 1pm as 3pm would be pushing it to get everything in before the evening guests arrive. I'm confident in the fact that me and Edd will have more than enough to occupy us in the afternoon, but im worried about the guests getting bored. There's always loads of waiting around at weddings anway! So I was thinking of some kind of entertainment we could have to keep everyone sane, eg garden games like giant jenga or connect 4 etc. Is anyone else having anything like this or got any more ideas? thank you xx

I've got a 12.30 ceremony and no entertainment. People will need to check into hotel rooms at some point so I made sure there was a freshening break between the day and the evening. My timings...

    12.30- church
    1.15- photos at church
    1.45 leave for hotel
    2.00 cocktail reception
3.00 we arrive at drinks reception (photos elsewhere)
3.15 people start to sit down
    3.30 speeches
    4.00 wedding breakfast
6.00ish- break for guests to check in etc or relax in bar
7.00- evening guests start to arrive
    8.30- first dance etc
    9.00- DJ
    10.00 buffet.

we're having a civil ceremony so think that should be about 20 mins (maybe 30 if we pad it out a bit with reading and poems) so that would be till 1.30. then photo's for a couple of hours till half 3. i was only allowing 2 hours for meal but maybe that would take a bit longer...im sure it will work out

    How about a wedding quiz?
you can hire lawn games like jenga and croquet from the internet. i would speak to your venue to see if they have any suggestions of where you can hire stuff from. x x
