i'm getting married in aug 2012 and have the deposit on my dress, its definatly the one for me, ive seen a lot of dresses and still love the one ive picked the most, if u are the type to change ur mind just have a good look around for now and check out styles, try a few on and check out prices of what you like then at least u know how much its going to cost n u can start preparing for that cost, if ur the type to like what u like n not change ur mind, then whats stopping u , get out dress trying on, its so much fun ! xx

I tried on my first one a week after he proposed to me (it's a girl thing) and i dont get married till march 2012 !!!

Its never too early and a good dress shop will be able to advise you on the best thing to do. I'm trying to lose some weight so mine has allowed me to order the dress but I don't get measured and have it made until nearer the time. That way they will know if the dress is going to be discontinued with the next season and let me know to order it sooner or leave it until nearer the time to get a size suitable.

I've been wondering the same!! I plan to loose a few lb's before the big day, hoping to be as slim as i was when we first started dating (size 6-8).
My worry is, If i find a dress and put a deposit on it or whatever, can it still be altered??? or is it a what-you-see-is-what-you-get deal, and i should try and lose the weight now so i have a dress that fits in 2 years?

I'm June 2012 and i am starting dress shopping on Saturday. Even if you get an idea of what you want know and wait till Jan when the new season dresses come out! I am so excited for the dress shopping this is going to be the best bit!! x

Just ordered my dress and I think I am getting it quite early. I would personally leave buying your dress until next year but there is nothing stopping you from trying a few on now! With me, I changed my mind so much during a 3 month period that I eventually ended up ordering the first one I picked out and loved however it was good to go through all the notions just to be certain that that was the dress I wanted x

in went dress shopping 2 years ago but have since postponed. wait until next march, grab your mum and take her for dinner for mothers day then suprise her with dress shopping, she will love that, then its only a year to go plus you could even go hat shopping for her, and if your bm's are your sisters like mine were invite them along too and maybe try on some bridesmaid dresses in your colour scheme, make sure they suit it before buying everything else lol xx
