Hello ladies! So after 6 month wait my dress finally arrived! I went to try it on yesterday and I'm very worried it's too short.. I'm 6ft tall and the sample dress was an inch or so too long and I remember speaking to the store assistant if I should order extra length which was free anyway but she advised me not to as the sample dress lenght was perfect and I could even get away with a small heel... so anyway fast forward 6 months later my actual dress arrived and it's probably a good inch off the floor when I'm bare foot! ! The shop assistant kept saying that it was perfect length but I'm seriously worried. I think its yoo short. I literally can't wear any sort of heel, only the flatest flats ha! I just dont unferstand why the lenght is diffeeent to th3 sample dress?! And if i decide its too short can i return it??? How long are your dresses?

    I'm panicking here:-(

I'd bring it up with the store and tell them what's happened and that you're not happy. Hopefully they will get it sorted for you.

What is the dress like in terms of style? If it would work with your dress, could a lace edge be added to give the feeling of extra length even though it would be a bit see through? X

If had been any other style without a train I might of considered it to possibly be the designed length but if it's the dress in your photos I'd definitely be questioning the store as mermaids with a train don't usually show ankles

Oh dear :/ I'd definitely go back to the store and see if they can do anything, like Kirsty said they could add something to the bottom xoxo

Thanks. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what they say
. It's a trumpet (I think!) Similar to mermaid but a bit less dramatic if that makes sense. And yes it has a long train but the front seems a bit too short. . I just dont get how the sample they had in store was longer than what i got! Argh the stress!! But thanks for your help. I'll see what they say... xx

To be honest you didn't get what you ordered if you can see your feet and in the other dress, you contemplated adding length.
They should really sort it out for you.

    I agree with steph.

My dress just brushed the floor as in millimetres off it so you couldn't see my feet at all unless I lifted my dress right up.

Hope it can be sorted out.

I can't really help as I am only 5ft tall so am going to need mine chopped. I think if you're not happy speak to them. My OH's friends wife had a similar problem and they added extra material to her dress so it didn't look too short.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going back to the store next week to try it on again and see what can be done. I don't really want to pay for alterations to make it longer if it's whoever makes ju5tin al3xanders dresses mistake in the first place.. We'll see.

Why not try the sample on again at the same time to compare?

I agree with you that its their mistake so should rectify!

They shouldn't make you pay out for alterations when it was most likely there fault to begin with :/ xoxo

I agree with Emily that you should try the sample again and see if that's to the floor. If so, I would ask them why the new dress is not the same as the sample, especially when that's what you made your choice on. You shouldn't have to pay any alterations if it's a fault with the dress. Hope you get sorted x

I know this will sound unhelpful BUT I tried on the same dress, same size in 2 different bridal stores and they both sat so different - one was also longer, so it may be that they do all vary slightly.
