So i had my dress fitting on Friday, first one where it got pinned! I was bricking it lol! The good parts was that i had my hair trial in the morning and decided on a half up, half down style which went perfectly with my dress, originally was going for all up! And that i had lost since February 2inches off my bust, 1 inch off my wasit and 2inches off my hips!! :) I also chose my veil while i was there!!
Bad part: the cost of alterations :( the bridal shop i am getting my dress from charge £40 per HOUR!!! :( So about £250 later i walked out quite deflated!
I know it will be worth it in the end but soooooo much money!! Has anyone else had this before? xx

Well the alterations cost sucks but huge congatulations on the weight loss and finding the perfect hairstyle!

that does sound pretty expensive for alterations. mine was £15 for a bustle and would have been £45 for a take up but i didnt need one in the end. You can of course take it somewhere else but its just really handy to have it all done at the shop. Just try and think about the fact that it will be all worth it in the end x

Get it altered elsewhere, that's ridiculous money when you've spend stupid monies on dresses!!

I know so so expensive :( i decided not to have the bust area altered for now but if it does need doing when i go back in 5 weeks i am defo taking it elsewhere!! You would think that it would be included as the dress was over £1000!!!
cant believe that price! especially considering you bought the dress from them in the first place and it was expensive!!! fair enough if its not included but that's ridiculous!

My alterations are going to be £150 as I wanted a lace up back instead of a zip x

Hi Amy That sounds ridiculously expensive! Did they tell you the cost of alterations before buying the dress? I am having 6 inches taken off mine (size wise not length) and its costing £65.....£40 an hour is madness! Plus, my BM said to me that she thought alterations should be included as the bridal shops she worked in back up north would have done them for free after spending £1400 on the bleeding dress!
