I am absolutely dreading the cheese fest that is the first dance. Feel really awkward about it.
    How are you dancing?

Also don't know what song to have. I always thought it would be a phil Collins song as that is one of "our things" as it reminds us of our first holiday. But for some reason he wants something different, I think a bit more cliche which I don't really want.
Have you picked a classic love song or a song that has meaning?

The song that means the most to us is Andy Williams, can't take my eyes off you. We have always sung this to each other and although it will be played during the evening we have gone for something we both love and can dance a bit too, our first dance will be to Al Green, let's stay together, the words are beautiful and I don't feel it's too cheesy. I will be nervous but can't wait to be in his arms dancing and singing away as his wife :-) xx

We're having two songs at the start we're going to dance to, one romantic one fun. First will be Shinedown: Unity followed by Barenaked Ladies: Odd's Are. We're even thinking of having Blink 182: First Date after that.

I'm nervous-excited about it because neither I or OH are great slow dancers. Think we might look into classes

We're starting with Billy Joel's Just The Way You Are and then going into the frog chorus. You could have a more humorous song if you want to avoid cheese. Can you find a local dance teacher who can choreograph something simple, so you avoid the swaying in the middle of the floor?

At the moment we like 'Stand By Me' - it's both romantic and light-hearted at the same time :) we want to slow dance to this and then do something a bit different/cheesy to get the rest of our guests up and dancing with us :) x
