Yeah Milo sits just outside the kitchen watching us when we are cooking, then when OH is cutting something he sits by his feet waiting for something. He doesn't bother looking at me he must know I'm veggie so there will be nothing nice haha xx

Haha Leo is lucky if he gets the odd crumb I need to be on patrol incase anything falls or he could end up ill and cleaning up dog mess or sick is not fun! Once weve eaten he heads to the area beside the dining table to see if there's anything for him lol hes a menace you would think he had been starved! We have an estate care and made the mistake of picking him up after we had been shopping, he goes to my grans while I do her and our shopping, H2B just opened the boot and let him jump in he has a blanket and toys in the boot, I put him in the back when my shopping is in normally incase anything falls over, so that day we got home and the bread was burst open and slices missing, to this day we still don't no how he did it, packet was clean ripped down the middle and we heard none of this and there was not one crumb haha he ate about 4/5 slices too lol xx

Are her dogs really well behaved? And what sort of size are they? When I hear of people having theirs there it makes me want mine their but then people discuss the practicality and I rethink!

He doesn't need walking on a lead, he stays by your heel, doesn't bat an eyelid at other dogs, cats, birds, nothing!! A big dog like this needs to be well trained. I hate seeing dogs take their owners for a walk.

OH and I would love to have our little kittens Jesse and James at the wedding, but cats would be even worse than dogs!

I think we will just get a photo portrait of the four of us, at some time after the wedding, for our thank you cards.

While it would be nice don't think pets (even those we consider family) should be at a wedding it's so much hassle someone has to watch them all day and need to trust they won't misbehave with all the new people smells etc. also hair and slobber on a wedding dress prob not the best look

I think it's a lovely idea as long as the dog is well behaved. As someone else said you'll have to check that there are no severe allergies among your guests. My MOH tried to persuade me to use her two dogs, but as much as I adore them I knew them too well to trust them to behave.

If we had a dog we would definitely have had him/her there (we were originally going to have one by now, and had spoken about having her included in the day). Our reception venue is right on the edge of a big common, and we had a random dog getting away from it's owner and came in to our reception venue - he even got in a few of our pics, lapping up the food and attention! In the end we found it quite fitting as I am potty about animals (especially dogs) so I was thrilled to turn round and see this big German Shepherd nuzzling up to me!

Everyone loves both the dogs and his family come round just to see the dog!? However mums been quite arsey about having the dogs there so I dunno!

I don't want them there all day.. Just for an hour or so but she still is dead against it!

We wanted my Mum's dogs at our ceremony but her greyhound is a stress head and would've had a meltdown in the church and her collie is now very elderly and very deaf so wouldn't have coped with it at all. We volunteer for a greyhound walking charity and someone suggested we have a greyhound guard of honour outside the church, but it just wasn't practical unfortunately.

Our hairdresser got married two weeks after us and got special permission to have her dog at the ceremony and the reception afterwards. He was included in the photos and was good as gold apparently.

I was recently married. Having my dog there with us was such a big part of the day for me. It wouldnt have felt complete without her. So I did some research and found a lovely lady based in south yorkshire. She has a business and experience in taking pets to weddings. We knew it wouldnt be fair on our dog to have her in the church, but we definately wanted her there for some pics. No one really wanted the responsibility of a dog. So it was our answer :) We met before and discussed what would happen and planned. And again closer to the time. She walked our dog several times to get to know her. the day went brilliant. As I arrived at the church she was there with Honey. We had a cuddle. Lots of pics and said goodbye. Honey was given a basic groom first and smelt lovely. No smelly hairs! all in all it was perfect and stress free. There was a moment Honey was a little excited and began barking but she dealt with it great. She took her away for a treat and a walk. I would definately say it can be done and Im happy to recommend her pass on details if you want to contact me.
