Hi everyone, just wanted to pick your brains. I'm currently torn about whether we have to pay for transport for family members? My OH is staying in a hotel the night before, the same one as his parents, best men and their wives. I wanted to treat my OH to a nice car but obviously cannot afford the extra 6/7 people! What did everyone else do? Did your grooms make their own way to the ceremony??

Because OH and I are getting ready on site and we're on a budget we're not going to pay for transport as there is also the option for the guests to stay at one of the cottages on site where we are getting married.

We are havin a vintage bus after the ceremony for the guests to travel to the reception venue, which we'll be using too. I live a 3-5 min drive away from the ceremony, and my OH will be staying 10 mins drive away we just don't want to fork out for more transport as the bus is costing a lot. Have put a status on my f-book asking if anyonehas a posh car we could lend lol!

We're not. H2b's mum tried telling us we had to but we just said they're all coming from one area so can arrange a minibus etc - it's only a 10 min drive

We are putting coaches on for the guests that needs it both to and from the venue as its almost an hours drive and public transport doesn't go as far as the venue without getting a taxi.

H2b will use our car to drive himself, our son and best man to the venue Im staying the night before at the venue so we don't have a need for cars for the bridal party. You don't NEED to put any transport on for anyone.

We don't have any transport for guests. I'm staying at the venue the night before and OH is getting ready at home. His boss has said we can borrow their car for him and his best men. Our wedding is all in the same place all day so need for transport for guests

We actually have about 15/20 people from OHs side travelling from Manchester too. If your guests really want to come they will make their own way :) I've never been to a wedding that had guest transport

we're not, people can make their own way, id only pay if the ceremony venue wasn't near the reception venue. as it is, its all in the same building, so people can make their own way
