How many of you have children already? I have a 9 and a 4 year old....
My question is really, my 9 year old's tooth fell out today and I dont know but I think she still believes in the tooth fairy. When is the right time to tell her that she doesnt exist? Do I ask her wether she still believes? I dont want to crush her little heart if she still believes but I dont know how long to let it carry on for.....
Sorry about the totally random question.

Mine is 3 so I've not had this issue yet. I would still keep it up, even if she doesn't believe she gets £1 and you have a bit of fun. Xx

I would prob say so you all ready for the tooth fairy tonight see what her reaction is, might be that she doesn't believe but might just play along for your younger child. Xx

Thanks Leanne, I guess I just dont want her being picked on for believing. I dont think I was ever a believer of the tooth fairy so I guess I dont really know how long Im supposed to let it carry on for or if Im supposed to mention it, but you are right.... I guess it'll be good to keep up the show for my son. :-)

That's so cute. I don't have any kids, but I agree on letting her believe and keep going. By sometime, she will get the true naturally. :)
I have 2. 3 years old and 4 months. I don't think I ever believed either but I still got money under my pillow and loved it lol. I would take her lead, let her stop believing in her own time. I'd keep putting money under her pillow, I remember telling my mom I didn't believe once I thought I was too big for it all, maybe you should wait for her to tell you.

I have a little boy who's coming up 3 so haven't experienced this yet. I agree with the others though I think I'd keep going until she figures it out lol

I have five, ages are 23, 22next month, 15, 13 and 12 next month, plus two step kids who will be 18 and 16 in the next week or so.
My younger ones have only just realised that the tooth fairy does not really exist. I liked it though as it kept them in their childhood for longer instead of being forced to grow up,

I have three children 2 boys 14 & 7 and a little girl 2 years old, my seven year old still believes in the tooth fairy so I'd like him to believe for as long as I can, my 14 year old knows has since he was 11 but he goes along with it same as Santa at Christmas and the Easter bunny I want to keep his innocence in believing in things as long as I can :) I agree with Leanne if she still wants to believe let her :) xx

My 14 year old doesn't believe, but my 12 year old isn't sure! She wants to believe, but her friends have told her that Santa, tooth fairy etc, isn't real. She's autistic and is worried that if she still believes she will be bullied, but on the other hand she desperately wants them to be real (probably scared of missing out on something! Lol) my reply was that if she wants to believe then it's entirely up to her and to ignore any horrible comments from others. I didn't have the heart to tell her the truth. Xx
