Our friends at 'Take a Break' Magazine have told us they are writing a wedding article and are seeking to...
"speak to a lady who cancelled/postponed the wedding (perhaps due to financial difficulty or decided it had got out of hand) and then got married at a later date and is now really pleased they did cancel/postpone wedding."
They would be able to pay a fee for any ladies who take part in the article.
If this is of some interest to you please drop me a line - [email protected] and I'll pass your details along.

Thats a bit dull for take a break isnt it? Give them a real story. My and my partner have been together over 15 years and want to get married and dont at the same time as the church will not embrace it (same sex obviously) and we want a proper wedding, but still have to make do with just a civil partnership, so we have delayed an awful long time and may well be glad we did if Cameron continues to persue the Church and make them fall in line with current thinking, now thats a story!

Hi Jonathan,
I can let them know your story if you want? - it might well be of some interest to them and their readers for a future feature!
Meanwhile, I've not had a lot of other feedback on this!
I know not many on here are shy!
Does anyone have a story where they cancelled their wedding and have rebooked but not necessarily had the big day yet and are glad they did postpone?
Let me know!

We didn't postpone, just cancelled a nightmare venue. Not exactly the same as what they're looking for, but slightly similar! :-)

we had to postpone around 8 weeks before we got married as my sister had to undergo serious surgery and the doctors said there was no way she would be well enough to attend the wedding, so we have rescheduled for October as she should be well enough by then. It was heartbreaking at the time - but im so glad we did as it means my sister can be at our wedding xx
There is nothing so sweet in life, as loves young dream!

Very exciting stuff... Stephanie, the lovely lady from take-a-break magazine is going to call me and do my article :) then after we get married we just have to send a picture in of me, adam and the kids :) The money doesnt bother me but its a bonus we can put towards a honeymoon xx

I was engaged previously and it was supposed to be last saturday. Good job I didnt as it was jubilee weekend and peed it down, and a friend or relative of someone I know got married at our venue and the photos are on facebook, lovely photo of them signing the register and a huge fire exit sign clearly in the background.

We didn't postpone our wedding, but hubby did postpone popping the question. He was planning on doing it around his b'day (April) when I was taking him away to Madrid. However, it was around the time of the Icelandic volcano and our flights got cancelled. Instead we stayed at home for a 'stay-cation'. I knew nothing of his plans but did wonder why he was sooooo peed off, despite me trying my best to do some lovely things. I figured it was because he'd lost his job a few months earlier and was still out of work, and was looking forward to the break. So when he got a new job, with the money we'd got back from not going to Madrid, we booked to go to Amsterdam that July. He popped the question and then told me he was planning on doing it in Madrid, but obv that didn't work out so well LOL! I'm glad he didn't do it back in the April - he was still out of work and I know that I wouldn't have felt as able to plan the wedding as I was when I knew we were both working, as I would have been worrying about where the money would be coming from. Plus it gives us a great reason to go back to Amsterdam for our first anniversary later on this year and get some great cycling in :)
Vegas baby!

We're hopefully going to be in their rival magazine with our story lol they're doing a follow up of when I shaved my head. So I'm not allowed to speak to another company with my story.
...I sound so showbiz hahahahahahahaha!!! ;)
We postponed when we found out I was expecting baby girl number 3!! Well, not entirely true. I found my dream dress and it cost an awful lot of money and I wanted it, so decided to wait a year so I could have it. Found out I was up le duff a week or two later lol
