Hi all my partner and I have got a 15 month old son and we have always said we would like more children. I said once the wedding is over we would try again as didn't want to put the weight I've lost back on again (I've lost 4 stone). I'm thinking now I'd love another one and OH keeps asking if we can try again but really stuck in the middle as to wether we should go ahead now or wait. Opinions please ladies :-) xx

I think if it's something you truly want and are ready for now, then it wouldn't matter to you about putting the weight back on or even possibly being pregnant on your wedding day if it doesn't happen straight away. On the one hand, I don't believe you should ever wait for anything if it's something you really want as life is too short to wait, but on the other hand, your wedding day is going to come around once and you should be happy with how your day is xx

If you both want it then I say go for it as you still have a while to your wedding, hopefully it won't take too long, have you thought of what will happen planB wise if it takes a little longer, will you try and then stop if nothing happens? Or keep going and be pregnant at wedding? I was 13 weeks at my wedding but couldn't tell and my dress and everything ok but obviously everybody's body is different
Make sure you weigh everything up,xx

If you conceive now or fairly soon you would easily lose any pregnancy weight in time. My MOH had her second baby three months before my wedding and was back at her pre-pregnancy weight before the wedding. My friend got married five months pregnant and you couldn't tell, so you could get away with being pregnant at your wedding, provided it doesn't affect your health.

I don't think any of us can answer that, I think it's something you and your fiance can only decide. I wouldn't even like to guess how much weight you would put on, or how long it would take to lose as each pregnancy you go through may be totally different from the last.

Elinor Claire- when I was pregnant with my first I had morning sickness from 5 weeks until the day I went in to labour :( so I wouldn't want that again especially on the day of the wedding. I think looking at all your comments it's probably best if we do wait until after the wedding. We're saving for the wedding and paying for the house too so if we was to have another boy we would be fine as we wouldn't really need to buy anything as we have it all but if we was to have a girl then we would have to start from scratch again so I think I've just answered my own question. I think all this thinking about trying again has come now as my little boy has his first visit to nursery on Monday and he's not a baby anymore :( the wedding will soon come round so we can start trying then. Thank you all for your comments xx

It will be nice to have that to look forward to after the wedding as well, rather than using up all your excitement in one go ;) something to look forward to for the start of your married life together xx

Mrs Wade2b - we are actively trying for our first baby, have been now for approx 10 months and so far its not happened. Wedding date is May 21st 2016 so we've decided if its not happened for us by March 2015 - were guna stop trying untill after the wedding :D that way it gives me enough time if we do have a baba to lose the extra weight that i might/might not gain lol!! People are telling me i'm stupid and that the wedding will be here in no time and just to wait, but I'm ready, were ready and we dont want to wait to start our family! :)) xx

As long as you're sure Mrs wade...then I think you have answered your own question! I'm having to start from scratch this time and it's costing a fortune as my youngest is 4 so I don't even have a cot etc or baby clothes for a girl considering I have 3 girls ... Everything seems to have gone up a LOT since last time too. So definitely take everything into consideration x

i agree that this is only a question for you to answer...

At the end of the day, whilst your wedding is a very important day, it is only one day... A child is a lifetime thing, so if your ready for it then why not just do it..

im sure if you get pregnant and put on weight, you know exactly what you need to do to lose it, you just have to push yourself that little bit harder if the wedding is drawing near. However, if you get pregnant close to the wedding there are so many beautiful maternity wedding dresses and you can still look as great..

At the end of the day if you want your family to grow, and your ready for it, why wait... you dont know what could happen in the next few days, months or years... Just do whats best for you and your OH.

Only you and your h2b can answer this. You need to be honest with what you want and what's more important to you.
