Just curious if any brides out there read the grooms speech prior to the day or you were fully confident everything would be included?

H2b asked if i wanted to read his, i've said no for now but wanted to see what others have done.

No I woukd want it to be a surprise- although OH is not confident snd is already nervous so I'm not sure he will do much of a speech!

Our friend literally wrote his speech the day before the wedding. I said to OH he cant do that. He would be a nervous wreck if he did that!

omg no i told h2b to start writing it ages ago, admittedly he did only start it 2 weeks ago but that's a heck of a lot better than the day before!

It was ok for our friend. He's like that. He wouldn't have done anything different but I couldnt imagine OH doing that

Not only have I read OH's speech, I helped him write it! He's dyslexic and apparently when he wrote his best man speech for his brother's wedding his mum and dad had to completely re-write it, so with that in my mind I thought it would be easier to help him with it and ensured it flowed!

There's also the fact that I am a control freak and will want to know what he is saying :-)
