    Hi Everyone,

Following a visit to our venue I'm now on to trying to price up our centre pieces. I think we will have 8 tables plus the top table but that will obviously depend on final numbers.

I'll put a picture up on my profile of what we are thinking along the lines of but i'm finding it difficult to decide where to get everything from. I've started on the mirror plates and looking on the Bay of E but they're coming in at £45 for 10...I just want to try and gauge the "average" price people pay for centre pieces. Obviously want to keep it as cheap as possible, maybe £8 per table, unless this is unrealistic?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Hi Vikki,
Try the range for centrepeice stuff - I got some great crystal candle holders from there and as for mirrors theres IKEA and their set of 4 square wall mirrors that are £6 for 4 alternatively The range have round mirror candle plates for £1.50 each. Dunelm has small ones cheap. It depends on what you're doing. For me I'm using bevelled glass vases from the pound shop on round mirror plates from the range with vintage frames for table numbers (already own) and table crystals. As I'm having 5 tables and also 5 bridesmaids then the bridesmaids bouquets will go in the vases. So total cost for centrepeices (minus the bouquets) is going to be about £3 per table.
I've also got my caterer to upgrade my table linen from plain white to turquoise so the pink flowers really 'pop' - hopefully this will make the relatively small centrepeices have more impact.

Oh also, I've got loads of mismatched glass tealight holders in golds, pinks and purples from charity shops for my evening buffet table, hopefully when they're all bunched together they'll look good! So yeah, never underestimate how much stuff you can get secondhand!

I had roughly the same budget as you. We didn't bother with the mirror plates as we were on a budget they're too expensive for what they are. We went with artificial flower arrangements at approx £8-10 each (sorry can't remember exactly). We got them on the Bay of E. The lady was very helpful and altered them as I asked and had a large one made approx £25-30 for the register signing table and top table.

I don't know what theme you're having, but if you're having a shabby chic wedding, have you thought about charity shops for glassware? Its extremely cheap and there are a LOT of options.

    Hi Vikki

I am hiring mirror plates for 99p each - you may find somewhere local to you that does the same. I am also hiring the bird cages and fake flowers and the total cost was £100, so definitely worth looking into. xx

I'm looking at around £30 a table for the centres but I am buying everything and then going to sell it on after the wedding!

I've just worked ours out and ours are about £45 per table. We will be selling them on afterwards though so will hopefully recoup some of the costs. We do also only have 4 tables so it's not as steep as it sounds, plus a sweetheart top table which will have different decorations.
