We booked the wedding ceremony a few months ago and we've paid in full and have so far had one meeting with the registrar, when she did some paperwork, we gave notice and she gave me a form to fill in with info about what music we want and anything else we might want to include. This form is to be posted back to them about one month before the day itself. So my question is, is that it, do we just turn up on the day? I don't know why but I assumed we would have more contact with them, to discuss what we wanted, maybe have a bit of a practice or something but they have given no indication of any further meetings. So those of you who have already been through this, what can I expect to happen before the big day, anything or nothing?

Only churches normaly have a rehursel asuch unfortunatly, Im planning on doing my own rehersal with the venue wedding coordinator and the bridal party/grooms men so everyone knows whats going to happen the music beat /speed to walk, where to stand/sit etc so they know and the wedding coordinator can show talk the regista through the plan quickly before it happens.

I would call them. When we originally booked our register office wedding (cancelled, since we are now getting married in a church), the lady said to not just assume, that everything will be discussed on the day. She said they prefer to have more contact with the couples, but dont ask for any more meeting, as it is up to the couple.

Thats pretty much it. When we booked ours we had to make a deposit payment, then a 50% payment 6 months before and then a meeting 6 weeks before to run through everything. Weve had way more contact though over email/ phone any time I had a question, and have gone in a few times with our parents to show them the venue etc.. plus they put on wedding fayres with their preferred suppliers so weve been to them a couple of times. X
