    Hi ladies,

I've just had an email back from our make-up artist we've booked confirming our trial date on 9th April yay! Downside is that she said prepare your skin/keep it in best condition and get ideas for what you want, not yay! I'm totally clueless when it comes to make-up because I hate wearing it therefore never do wear it.. I understand it's necessary to have it because of photos etc. so we booked one. I'd want a very natural look and nothing in your face because I know it will just irritate me and I'll want to take it all off!

    Any tips on styles/preparation?

I think she means to cleanse, tone and moisturise your skin. Maybe exfoliate once a week too. Try looking at pictures of brides on g00gle for natural looks and see if there's any you like :) xx

I would just tell her exactly what you've told us regarding what style you want, as a MUA she will know what you mean and how to create that look :)

To look after your skin you should cleanse, tone and moisturise. They are some fairly cheap products in supermarkets that are great if you don't want to spend loads on a skincare regime (like me!!) x

Uh oh, that means I'm going to have to brave B00t3 or Sup3rdru3... Cue the terrified look!!! Any idea on products? I have no idea what I should be looking for! I'm only having make-up cos my OH says I must and well, she wants some too. Our MUA seems really lovely so hopefully she'll get what I mean :) x

I have no7 stuff from B00ts at the mo but I got it for xmas so I'm not sure how pricey it is. Even in supermarkets you can find a wide range down the beauty aisles.. S1mpl3 is a good brand, G@rnier etc xx

Any brand will do the same job Catherine :) you can buy a separate cleanser and toner or some brands you can buy them combined. I normally get separate-cleanse twice, tone (normally put it on pads then get tissue and dab residue off) exfoliate with a small amount (once a week) rinse off tone again and then moisturise. (I'm a qualified beauty therapist lol) x

When i went for trial my make up artist said that my skin is very thirsty, so have been cleaning it every day and then moisterising with a oil free cream. And next month in going for a pampering day with massage and facial etc to try and prep my skin.

Start now, as I find if I introduce a routine using products I don't generally use (I never cleanse, tone and moisturise!) It irritates my skin and causes blemishes, dry/greasy skin or spots! I only ever wipe my make up off every night and wash my face with hot water. At least if you start a routine now, if it does play up your skin, you have time to change/remove it before trial and big day!

I've booked my trial for end of May when OH is away on stag do so I can wear it all day and see how it lasts without him seeing!

I use body shop products, a mixture of their seaweed range and tea tree range. Like others have said cleanse, tone moisturise. I only started doing it around September when my friend became a body shop consultant and have noticed my skin is loads better then it used to be.

However you can get cheaper than the body shop stuff
