Afternoon. Been trying to keep myself occupied today. Took my daughter to th Drs, and finally after not being referred to the dermatologist last time, she now will be. Went to the gym for two hrs, popped into town to finish off shopping for hubby's birthday tomorrow and then home, bath and now chilling. 9 years ago today the cruel world of depression took my Brother from us,

Lit our candle for my Brother which we do every year.
Cooking dinner, so tired after my awful sleep last night, I seriously hope I get a better sleep tonight.
Sorry I've not posted much recently, at the end of November I fell down the stairs and totally ruined my ankle. No breaks in the bones in the initial sets of X-rays but very colourful. I've ripped ligaments and tendons throughout my ankle and was totally non weight baring on it until the 4th of Jan.
Today I went to my second physio appointment and physio is really concerned and is sending me for an MRI as she is concerned there may be a stress fracture. She also believes that my cuboid bone has dislocated partially (cuboid syndrome), she tried to give it a wiggle and see if it would go back today but it was so painful that I had to ask her to stop. I'm not a wimp when it comes to pain, I've had a severe gravel rash on my arm scrubbed out in hospital with a nail brush with no anaesthetic when I was 16 and didn't wuss out, but I had to today. She has strapped it up with physio tape and I have anouther appointment in a weeks time. I'm worried as she said even without the physio, exercises and nursing that I've had from my mother who is an ex trauma nurse and advice from my friend (who is also a physio but is not in this country so couldn't physically get her hands on my foot), so even if I had done nothing other than rest it it should be a lot better than it is!
In other excitement an unexploded WW2 bomb was found in the ditch next to the stable yard yesterday evening. Somewhat scarey considering I've hacked my horse within inches of it hundreds of times. Been taken away and disposed of by the bomb squad now. But whilst I often said my horse was bomb proof I never meant it literally

Today I work I had to give one of the girls a right telling off- she's just come back from having full blown flu! Comes in today and is on crutches as someone fell on her knee yesterday and has mashed it up! Poor girl was also sick with a chest infection just before Xmas and also found out her dad has been having an affair for 10 years and she has 2 half sisters aged 10 and 2 and the other women knows she is second fiddle! Despite all of this, this girls work has been suffering, she's just been a social butterfly at work.
So I was Mrs meanie today and told her straight- girl in floods of tears and just beside herself- but deep down she knows it- just received a text from her to say thanks for giving her the telling she deserves- at least she knows it and we can now work on getting her work back up to standard- what a day! And it's only Monday!

Cant wait for next Friday - we are off to Maderia for a week. Us and 2 other couples. Rally looking forward to it - but I'm just not sure what to pack. Good job I have 20 kgs of luggage allowance - think I will pack for all eventualities.

Ouch Faye sounds really painful. Hubby's SIL found out last week she'd been walking around with a broken shoulder for three days, after catching her foot in a box and crashing into the radiator. She's got three boys aged 18, 8 and 4 and a daughter aged 8 months. She was still pushing the pram, breastfeeding (the baby flatly refuses to take a bottle despite many attempts and tricks), and carrying the baby around. Now she's got a sling I'm not sure how she's coping. The 18 year old can help to an extent but he is in college and working lots of hours at a burger place, so can't be at home that much. BIL also works so is only around evenings and weekends. Fortunately the baby is small and not heavy, but it's still not easy, and the more she has to use her bad arm the longer she'll take to recover.

Joseph is so lively now. In his bouncy chair he kicks a lot and is very vocal. The minute he goes on the floor he's on his tummy, he's desperately trying to commando crawl. He's got the legs going, he just hasn't sorted the arms out yet. It gets very interesting changing nappies as he's straight off the mat onto the carpet and onto his tummy. Then he grabs the mat and tries to eat it. If it's a dirty nappy I end up calling my husband if he's in to hold him so we don't get poo on the carpet.

Far too emotional lately. A teething LO with separation anxiety and endless sleepless nights are not helping.
It's our LO's 1st birthday in 2days and today I broke down in tears in the middle of T35c0 because I couldn't get him a birthday cake :'( I felt like such a failure and that he deserved so much better than a mummy that can't even find a cake that her own son could eat without being poorly. A lovely lady working there soon made me feel better telling me she thought I was a fab mum for trying to find a cake and party food that is dairy free, soya free, gluten free, nut free and many more!
Still want to cry about the fact he has no cake yet (going to try and make one tomorrow if I can) and he can't eat over half the party food but I don't feel so much like a failure anymore.
On a positive can't wait to see his face when he gets his presents :)

Morning all, just a tad cold out there today
Today my plan is to give the house a good clean. I've not really stopped this week with it being my annual leave, they text me last night asking if I could do an early shift today. If I'd known earlier yesterday I would have done it as I'd have got the cleaning done then.
Other than that, I'm leading a boring existence.

Managed to get a fair bit of tidying up done. Mainly need to hoover now, over three levels. Then at some point make a cottage pie up for dinner tonight.

My daughter is on work experience this week, it's not been great. First off she never got any of her choices she put down for, yet her friend was given what my daughter had put down as a second choice. Anyhoo, it starts off with the pet centre she was given not being open on a Monday so she had nowhere to go, then when I dropped her off yesterday morning they forgot she was coming so had nothing for her to do, she cleaned out one fish tank and cuddled a rabbit. She hates it so much,

Oh and to get to the place, it's not on a bus route, so she has to get a bus to the next town, then walk to the place, part of which is down a single country lane. It's fortunate I've been able to take her yesterday and hubby picked her up, and I can do the same today, but tomorrow and Friday I cannot as working.

She has a booklet she needs to record things in and she has done that. We will be informing the school of the poor choice as well.
Getting there with th chores. Done my back in a little though the other night at work. I thought it was because Aunt Flo was due and that was why, but I think it was jus the angles I was trying to get in to listen to a baby. Seems ok if I keep going, but as soon as I sit, or drive the car it starts to ache.

All birthday present shopping done ready for tomorrow :D forgot wrapping paper tho, so sent daddy back out to get some. Still no cake :'( so now have no choice but to attempt to make one.
Just got to get the last few party food bits tomorrow and some balloons before the party.
It's a nightmare Emily. We are hoping he grows out of most of his allergies/intolerances, if not all.

Hopefully Tiffany. My cousins baby had bad allergies and he grew out of most of his. I think his only one now is egg and its ok if its cooked into a cake so hopefully it does get better.

Michelle, it was my hubby's birthday yesterday as well.
Been to the gym this evening with my daughter, she enjoyed it, she can only go though when certain people are taking th class as our usual one cannot have under 16s in her class. It was the launch of the combat new release tonight, very fast but good.

Korey-James decided he was going to make the most of his birthday and wake mummy and daddy up at 3am! Daddy managed to get him to go back to sleep but it was short lived and we gave in and got up at 4.30am. He normally sleeps until 7.30/8am.
He got spoilt rotten bless him, our front room looked like Christmas all over again. I am starting to regret the drum we got him lol. His M1ck3y m0u53 and D0na13d duck birthday cakes turned out really well and actually tasted really nice (ok we cheated with a 'fr33 fr0m' mix). We did buy another one for guests just in case they didn't work, so he ended up with 3 cakes in the end (although he couldn't eat one).
The little monster is still going strong and after 18oz of milk (he is a piggy) and lots of cuddles, he is refusing to go to sleep. Mummy is so tired!

Morning all
Had a fun shift at work yesterday even if it did feel like it went on forever.
Aunt Flo came yesterday a few days late and boy is she making up for it. Woke up early this morning in so much pain and I swear I shall need a blood transfusion if it continues.
I was meant to be in work on an early shift today but there was a mix up and someone else covered the shift not realising I was doing it, so I've got the day off still in my annual leave. Off to the gym later to do back to back express classes. They see only 30 mins each so get an hour's worth out of it. Need to clean the house as well as doing a get together for hubby tonight for his birthday the other day. I've woken up full of cold as well, hoping I can sweat it out at the gym,

Morning all again
Just having a cuppa break before getting sorted for th gym. Been in my son's room trying to sort some of it before he comes home and finishes it off. Cleaned his bathroom as well, so now he has a tidy up and Hoover to do and make beds. Found some bowls that at one point had some kind of food in, not sure what though, it wa not recognisable.
Lovely sunny blowy day so got laundry out on the line. Not sure if it will totally dry but if not at least it won't take long in the drier to do finish off. Loads more to get through though. Then this afternoon it's cooking food and cleaning the kitchen up.

Korey had his injections today. Think I cried more than he did. Been told to expect sleepless nights for 2 weeks while his body fights the MMR one. Timing couldn't be any worse as I am full of infection, my iron is too low and my endometriosis had decided now is a good time to flare up. To top it off OH's shifts have changed so he is now on nights. Oh well who needs sleep any way lol, good job we have lots of coffee in.

Just been to bank and food shopping - making lasagna for tea- even making own pasta sheets and fresh tomato sauce as have loads of toms that need using

CUrrently ploughing my way through laundry, first load done and in the drier, second load on, then one more after that but thats a white wash so hoping that other people will sort that out for me seeing as I won't be here then. Why oh why did I say yes? Day off tomorrow, then on Tuesday I have a study day in Portsmouth and then I have a study day here on Wednesday, late shift Thursday and day off Friday.
