I've finished all my wrapping too apart from the 2 pressies for OH I am waiting to arrive, will wrap them as soon as they come though so then I don't have to bother hiding them from OH!
We've spent too much as well despite saying we would have a £50 budget. I've spent over double that on OH and judging by my pile of pressies he's gone way over that too! There are so many!!!

It's horrible that there's nothing you can do about it, even if you got new staff in there's no way they would be trained up in time to be able to help out! Hopefully it does die down for you so you can relax a little!

Thanks Em, fingers crossed. I know my boss will give me some time back in lieu though when it does die down a bit, so at least I have that to look forward to at some stage. He wants to give me the normal days off for Christmas that the rest of the company get but I just don't see it happening - he can't do it all on his own! Although he will make sure he takes the brunt of it being the way he is.

Our UK offices close down between Christmas and New Year, so even though I'm a remote worker I do the same hehe.
Hubby agreed last night he MIGHT allow some Christmas lights round the porch, I've got to put together a "classy" idea to sell it to him. SO excited :)

Emily we may not have a choice anyway, some longer days and weekend working is essential at the moment just to make sure we meet the deadlines! I'm not too worried about it, will get 4 consecutive days off anyway as they are the statutory days. It doesn't make much difference to me as OH only has the statutory days off too :)

I love Christmas lights, I don't go over the top though, I have a water fall of lights on my big window in the lounge, a string of lights on the kitchen window and one on the window in the hallway. In the evenings we don't bother with a light in the lounge, we normally only have a lamp on as it is, but love sitting there with the Christmas lights onl

We put our tree up last weekend. It looks lovely. I usually put ceiling decs up but didn't bother this year. I bought my parents a real tree for their house as we always spend Christmas there and we haven't had a real one for years. I forgot how lovely the smell is. I still need to wrap everything but I hate wrapping and always leave it to the last minute.

We only have lights on the tree and on the fire place, we used to have a second Christmas tree in the hall kind of under but that's where the dog lives now so can't have that one up anymore!
Finished buying all OH's presents last night, just need something for my mum and sister now. Even have my fussy dad sorted haha! Spent way more on OH that I should have but ah well!

We don't do this anymore, but when I was younger I used to stay round my dad's house on Christmas Eve. We would stay up until midnight and my step brother and I would be allowed to open one present each before we went to bed. I used to absolutely love doing that.

We do, Christmas morning we all get on mom and dads bed and open stockings. Me, sis and OH have stockings and Mom, Dad and my Aunt have 1 present with a cup of tea :)
Started because me and sister would run down to see if father Christmas had come and take our stockings upstairs :)

Not sure we have any particular family traditions but we do tend to do presents before lunch lol, mainly because my sister and I are still like kids and too excited to wait until the evening! Now though it's more we want to see others open what we bought them rather than us wanting to open our own presents. Love seeing the looks on people's faces when they open presents.
