I went shopping yesterday morning and finished off the christmas shopping :) spent way more than I should have on OH... bang goes the £50 budget this year, I think I spent more like £120-£130 on him! He's got OTT on my pressies too lol, oops!
I've got him a tshirt, 2 polo shirts one of which is t3d b@ker, a pair of t3d b@ker slippers, a pair of crimbo socks, a mug, some coffee syrups, some mens face masks, aftershave and a bar of L1ndt chocolate.
Finished off my mum's pressies too. She's got 2 adult colouring books with some colouring pencils, some perfume, a y@nk33 candle and some creme brulee and salted caramel L1ndt chocolate.
Feels good knowing it's all done and dusted, even if I did spend more than I should have.
I need to finish off our Xmas shopping gets harder every year buying for people! Can't wait till Friday we are putting out tree up I can't wait for it to feel festive xx

Myself and hubby have the same account for our n3ct@r points, last week I had about £38 on there, yesterday I noticed I had £48, thought that was a big increase, we use it for Xmas drinks. Couldn't understand why it jumped I so much, signed in and it was because I got a job lot of bonus points from the bay

Ahhhhh that's lovely.
I love it as in the evenings I normally only have a lamp on, at Christmas we have just th tree lights and the lights at the window.

Lights look lovely Mrs Wade!
We don't "do" outside lights, but we have an LED strip of lights on our front windowsill that looks like we are being a christmassy haha, although it's not a Christmas thing, we have it there all year round! Also 2 light up snowmen on the windowsill x

I'd be worried my lights would get taken if I put them outside, next door have some around the railings out the front, same with a wreath, I'd think someone would help themselves.

Thanks Flossie.
LO loved it when he saw them outside. He's being a pain with the Xmas tree lights at the min as he knows which button to press to change the sequence of the lights. I've got 2 sets on the tree so like to have them both the same but LO has got other ideas lol

Our tree is now up we have had to put it in the conservatory as there is no where else to put it so have one of those twig trees in the living room as it skinny hubby is going to finish decorating it today quite happy for him to do that I hate that bit
CommentAuthorJoannaS
I put that one on the wrong thread so have changed it lol
CommentAuthorFlossie
We're the same with the lights on the tree! We have 2 sets also that must be on the same twinkle... every time you turn them off and on again it resets itself so you can have to keep clicking through all the settings to find the right ones. There are some settings that would be no good whatsoever if you were epileptic!!!

We have that problem but I don't understand why it isn't static.. we have them connected to an extension lead but when turn the extension lead back on they are on different settings. both exactly the same lights bought at the same time so no reason why they would be on different settings automatically. doesn't make sense to me.

Flossie, I had that as well with the set that I lost in the move along with all my other decorations. The ones I have now though stay on the same one.

I'm not feeling festive at all. We're so busy at work around this time that Christmas is more of an after thought rather than a priority... just can't look forward to it when I've got so much work hanging over me!
My boss has been known to actually work on Christmas day itself.

Oh dear, hopefully you can get some of it cleared by then.
We are winding down next week so that we can clear the office for the move the week of the 21st. Scary knowing we have just over a week but I think we are just going to stop apart from urgent things. Could you not just do the things that are due now and after Christmas and leave other things to when you have chance?

That's the trouble Em, there is just too much to complete all in such a short space of time. It's not as simple as just doing what needs doing now and leaving the rest after Christmas... we have rigid deadlines that cannot be missed, so the work HAS to be done and submitted by then, otherwise it won't get submitted at all. We have 5 things due in just between tomorrow and Friday. It's nuts!!
Unfortunately the work doesn't stop just because it's Christmas!
