    Hi All,

My name is Riki and i'm new here, i'm actually the groom! Came across this website by pure accident but my partner and I have been addicted to it ever since we joined!

My question is...for the evening reception, would you normally put a chair cover and sash on all the chairs? We our having 30 people for our wedding breakfast and 100 for the reception, so would we need to cover 100 chairs?

Sorry if this sounds like silly question, but we are unsure about this! My thoughts are yes we need to decorate all the chairs, but my fiance is a little bit unsure!

    Thank you.

    Riki & Jennie

Firstly hello and welcome to the site.

Secondly, I think it depends on whether you can afford them or if you want them all to look the same, if you do I would say don't go to any trouble getting sashes put on them all though and just the cover,

we will be keeping the chair covers and sash on the chairs from the day but wont be adding any extra for evening. its unlikely that all 100 guests will be sat down at the same time anyway so no need for the extra chairs! we want them up on the dance floor or something! so we will have about 40 covers & sash even though we have 70 evening guests.

Hiya welcome to the site. I'd say it's an unnecessary expense to have them for the evening guests too

    Welcome to the site!

Chair covers and sashes are lovely if you can afford them. Most would have them for the day guests but not evening so you won't only have 30.

It's just personal choice. Our venue had lovely chairs, but we still chose to hire covers and sashes. We had loose cotton ivory (not the clingy lycra) covers and latte satin sashes. There are different materials (taffets or satin). I have some pictures in my album.

We just did them for our day reception, the evening reception had chair covers in the buffet area, but normal uncovered chairs elsewhere. Hope this helps.
