Hi, am new to this so hope I'm doing this correctly.
I have decided to have a celebrant to conduct our ceremony within the grounds of the marquee we are hiring as our venue. The venue we have chosen is 90 minutes away from where we live and I need some advice and guidance regarding wether we should get legally married the day before or the day after our wedding day with the celebrant.
We will go in private to the registry office with just our parents to sign to legally be married and won't tell everyone that's what we are doing as I want the focus to be on our day.
If we go to legally get married in the morning of our actual 'wedding day' I think it would take away from the not seeing the bride before etc.
What are people's thoughts on wether to do it the day before/actual day or day after?

Most people I know who have got legally married before their wedding ceremony and reception do it before at the registry office xxx

Yes my friend got married before the day... She always recommends it to people hetting narried as she really loved her wedding and her 'secret' wedding beforehand. Hehe

I would do it before so you can fully enjoy your day knowing you are man and wife! I personally can never get my head around why people would do the legal bit after... it seems a bit backward to me as you're not really celebrating a marriage otherwise?!
