hi everyone, might be a silly question but what sweets are you all having in your candy cart, im stuck for ideas, i don't want anything too sticky as it might ruin the look of the vases and leave streaks and i don't really want anything with wrappers as kids may make a mess. So far all i can think of are f1y1ng s@uc3rs. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Different coloured bonbons (perhaps your wedding colours?) Chocnibs, lollipops, foam bananas and shrimps.
Marshmallows, lollipops , m&ms, I agree with Kirby try going to a local sweet shop or have a look at sweet wholesalers online

You ladies are fab doing all this yourselves. If our hotel wasn't supplying one I don't think I'd bother, too much like hard work for me lol so I'm having whatever sweets they put in lol

We are not having one, as we will only have one child (aged 8 when we get married) at our wedding. I guess though that the other 119 big kids - sorry I mean adults mike like it.
We went to a wedding 2 years ago where there was a sweet cart, and it turned into a free for all sweet fight - okay we were in a marquee in a field with 250 wedding guests of which 200 or so were bikers - but even the non bikers joined in the fun along with the bride and groom.
I'm just worried that if we had one at our wedding, it could turn into the same thing, and I'm not sure the hotel would appreciate it. So I guess its best that we don't bother with one. Instead I shall do a pic and mix for my young guest.
Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

aaah well i hope mine doesn't end up like that with all the effort i'm having to put in! :') and Danielle I'm not certain i would have bothered either but if we wanted any sort of sweets on the buffet it was an extra £2.50 per person which doesn't sound bad but we have 150 evening guests so that brings it to an additional £375.00 and for the price I'd be miffed if they just slapped on a cheesecake ahaha so figured I would sort it myself for cheaper x

Great ideas here ladies! I'm still wondering wether to go for a chocolate fountain or a sweet cart...
CommentAuthorMichelleC961
I would say sweet cart as a child fountain looks good but is always disappointing :-) xx

A child fountain? Lol! Yeah I know what you mean, you can never get enough haha. I'm just more into chocolate than sweets. Will have to have loads of little choccies and maybe cookies on the sweet cart :)
CommentAuthorNicoleW665
i was going to have a choc fountain but venue said if kids are there they just make a huge chocolatey mess so i quickly changed my mind :') x
