Getting married abroad with a UK party when we return. Due to a tight budget, it's only a buffet affair. Would appreciate any ideas for nice but affordable tasty items x

Iceland do some good stuff, if it's very cheap you're wanting. The christmas buffet foods are good!

Venue is doing food so I can't buy it in, but we can negotiate on things. Me and h2b had discussed pots of chilli, curry, soup etc so it still feels more like a hot evening meal especially due to jan timing! Was worried it might seem weird! Our cupcake wedding cake will b dessert, might buy a little fruit cake 4 the oldies :)

Hot buffets seem to go down well any time of yr..... defor the way forward i think, im only having hot pot (with crusts like bisuits on the side, must have a proper name, basically not on the pie) and curry with rice at my engagment maybe a few chicken tighs/drumsticks some baps with cold meats, pate and crackers..... our family is massive and we had parties all the time so i know what gets eat and not by um all!!!

Thanks ladies! Feel better now that it's not a totally random idea. Should hopefully be easier 4 the caterers too with loads of big pots instead of fussy little bits x
