Wedding Forum - Brides of 2016...

I think I might just spend time P1nt3r3sting and deciding fully on everything I want flower and decoration-wise.. I have the ideas in my head but not 100% certain. I probably haven't had a really good P1nt3r3st session since we booked the wedding!

I'm glad we got the big stuff out the way early on as it's a massive weight off my shoulders. I'm itching to get down to the nitty gritty and sort out the smaller bits now but I don't want to do too much too soon and regret not having much to do later on!! x

I have my flowers in the house but same I don't want to start to early either! I need to start buying bits and peices for our diy invites etc XX

OH is a complete cake face so he will love it lol! x

Hey all,
Finally we have done something for the wedding : )

- We have changed the date and booked our wedding Saturday 10th September 2016 3:30pm (Only time they had left) I still can't believe they charge £490 in total for the registrar!
- We will be paying the deposit tomorrow on the venue.
- Buying my wedding insurance tonight.
- H2B is arranging the photographer.

I think that's the main important things... What next?

Great news :) the price for a registrar is ridiculous isn't it! Ours is the same sort of price as yours.

Next I would sort out entertainment/DJ/band and transport x

Ours will be about 312 as there is an annual increase and it's about 6/7 a year and its at 299 now, can't believe how much it varies xx

Went to my hairdresser yesterday (her daughter is my flower girl too) and she is so excited for the wedding lol. We talked about hairstyles and I was thinking half up half down with a veil but I don't think I want it over my face. I'm so undecided whether I want my hair in rollers overnight or if I want to curl it with the wand in the morning. She is doing my make up too but she said that will talk an hour and a half and I have 5 bridesmaids so she can't do all of them. They all have such different hairstyles! One has a bob, one has ginger frizzy afro-type hair, my sister has thick black hair, my other bridesmaid as short fine hair and my other bridesmaid has hair like me! I think I will have to get them all together and talk to them - luckily my two bridesmaids are beauty girls but don't really want them 'working' on the morning of the wedding lol.

I finally am going back to work - it closed for winter as its a caravan park - so I'm glad to have some extra money coming in as couldn't get any money as hadn't worked two weeks in the last 2 tax years for enough national contribution! Sad times.. But hey ho! I can finally pay my deposit on my photographer lol xx

I forgot to say that FIL said he would put £1000 towards our honeymoon :) he originally wanted to pay for OH's stag do but we concluded that was a waste of money and so he offered to put the money towards something more important like our honeymoon instead. Big big help and I am so grateful.. we will be asking for monetary contributions from all our guests so hopefully we will end up with enough to book somewhere really nice!!

We're thinking of having a band but they are more expensive than we thought!

Venue booked and deposit paid, registrar deposit paid, Flowergirl dress bought and I have my dress :) We've made our save the dates but not sent out yet. Pics in my albums. Tried to send you a friend request but your profile is restricted. x

Yayy everything is getting exciting for you Emma!

My parents told me on Saturday that we could spend £2300 on our honeymoon as that would then round up what they are paying overall to £3500. We are so grateful and we can now look properly as we know what the budget is :) Sorrento in Italy has gone to the top of our list after having a look at the weekend :)

We had a meeting at our venue yesterday with our wedding coordinator. It was our second meeting but first with this coordinator as the other lady has left. I really like this new lady and she wrote everything down and will email it all to me sometime this week. I came away from the meeting very happy :D

Definitely Emma! Can't wait until the next meeting now lol. We also booked a room there for our anniversary in June to have a nice meal and then breakfast in the morning. So excited! :D x

Sorry Kirsty I've not been on for a few days and have just seen your question! We're not 100% decided where we want to go yet. I think at the end of the day it's just going to depend on how much money we have and what deals are around at the time :) we probably won't be able to book until after the wedding when we know exactly what budget we are working with, but still want to go as soon as we can after the wedding! Somewhere like the Maldives or Mexico would be the ideal, but we're open to anywhere hot and exotic really :)
