I had my first fitting yesterday and so did my bridesmaids. I had mine first. For starters the underskirt they ordered me wouldn't go past my knees so that didn't feel great. Then I put the dress on and they had ordered a size smaller than I was measured in that as well. Luckily it zipped up and fitted well everywhere except for one crease at the back. The lady who does the alterations told me she wasn't allowed to let the dress out to fix this. She was then gone ages on the phone and stuff but they finally agreed they would let it out since it's less than an inch. I felt like I was robbed of that excited feeling your supposed to get at your first fitting but I let it go since they're fixing it.
We went in an hour or so later for the bridesmaid dresses and they had ordered the wrong dresses :( we ordered ones with lace up backs and they got us zips. Again the lady was gone ages but they said head office was closed cause of the holiday so couldn't do anything right now.

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry, what a nightmare :( I would demand some money or at least free alterations as it's them that has screwed up!

Doesn't sound like it went well at all :( I would be putting in a complaint as 1 mistake is fair enough but to make 3 mistakes with not only your dress, but the hoop and bridesmaids dresses as well is very concerning. Hope it all gets sorted out for you soon, sweet.

O no how horrible and upsetting!M that's very unprofessional of them! Have you got ur paperwork/ receipt from when you bought it as should state on there what size they should have ordered and if they don't match what they ordered I would kick up a stink about money back or re ordering if you have time and make sure u stick in ur heels and make sure they either reorder the bridemaid dresses or alter them so they fit nicely and do it for free! Don't let them fob u off u have a right as a buyer to have what u ordered x

Thanks everyone :) they've agreed to fix my dress with no extra cost but I have to wait until tues before I'll know what they're doing about the bridesmaids dresses. If they don't replace them then I'll want money back. I'm going to wait until I have all the dresses sorted and home before I make an official complaint. The overall service hasn't been great to be honest which surprised me because it's a big chain not just a small shop. I love my dress and the first lady who served me was lovely so that's why I went with there but since they got my money everything's changed :(

So I waited until after lunch on tues and had no call from bridal shop. I called them and they said they had emailed head office and were waiting for a reply. I called again at the end of the day and they said whoever it was in head office had just got back in their office and got the email so still no update but was promised another call first thing the next morning. Unsurprisingly I didnt get a call so I called them again. They said there was still no update and guaranteed me a call by the end of the day. Once again no call so I called them this morning. They said head office are dealing with it and new bridesmaid dresses will be sent over but they have no idea when they will be in, not even a rough idea. Now they have my money they don't seem to care.

I would ask for head office details and deal directly with this 'person' that seems to be in charge of what they're doing! Seeing as they seem to not care in the shop, they'll know you mean business once you ask to deal directly with them

Oh my god, that's awful.. I would be ringing them again and demand to speak to the manager and I would be ringing head office too, Its not good enough.. they should be bending over backwards to sort this out and promptly get back to you so their mistakes aren't made worse for you .. Hope you ok x

How terrible.. like the ladies have said, I would be taking matters into my own hands and demanding for the contact details of the person at head office who is supposedly dealing with this. Awful that they can't even give you a rough timescale, just takes the P***!! x

Sorry I haven't been on here much lately. So I had a lot more calls back and forward with the shop and the best they said they could do was get the dresses in on the week of the wedding and they couldn't guarantee it would be the start of the week. I tried to explain how impractical that would be and impossible to fit all the fittings in that time. Anyways they said they couldn't do anymore but gave me the number of someone higher up to talk to. I asked my dad to speak to them for me as I thought it would be a lot more difficult for them to brush him off. My dads not the kind to be messed around. So after a few calls they've said they'll have the dresses in by the 21st may :) they said the designer has guaranteed this date so it's not just the shops word.
