Hi everyone - i have a sweetheart neckline ball gown style dress but would like something to cover my shoulders for the church, i was thinking a short sleeved lace bolero but i have no idea where to look - has anybody bought one (at a reasonable cost) and has it been any good? many thanks x

Hi Nicole, my dress sounds exactly like yours and I have gotten a bolero from where I bought my dress. I searched and searched online and couldn't find one I liked. My bridal store didn't have any in to around Oct time but I found one that sits perfect with my dress, infact it looks like its part of the dress. I can't remember the make of it though, I will check for you when I pick it up. The only thing is alot of these are one size fits all which trust me they do not. My bolero cost £150 and then I had to spend £100 having it altered. xx

No problem hun, picking up in a few days so will let you know. I have gone for a lace long sleeved that goes on back wards and botton's up the back, it sits flush to my dress. When I take it off it looks like I am wearing a completely different dress xx

That sounds very much like my style of dress and I also wanted my shoulders covered for church. I didn't have a bolero though, I had a one piece strip of chiffon with sparkly bits on it, about 5 inches wide that was attached to my dress on one shoulder and crossed behind my shoulders and then the other end attached to the front of my dress on the other side, hope that makes sense. Should be able to see from my profile picture the back.
