ok so its easter holidays and i had lots planned, going to the pics to see alice, going out for a meal, town, parks and the activity world (big indoor play centre with slides, mini golf etc). BUT my daughter got ill on friday (last day of school) so we're stuck in the house as contagious :-( yeah i know its not her fault bless her but she's been bored all week moaning, so we have made cake's, modelling, drawing and she's even helped me cook tea once or twice. All things we do anyway and because of this she say's she BORED NOW! Come on you lovely ladies give me some more ideas to do in the house, she's 10?? We're having movie night tonight (dvd, take away and popcorn).
Oh and i have a 7 year old, a 6 month old and dog to occupy as well lol. Hopefully she'll be fine for sunday as should be going to my mums for the week.

A treasure hunt (requires a little bit of work from you and H2B). Set up a trail of clues around the house leading to a final prize. Can even dress up as pirates or similar if you want.

we sometimes have a picnic in the house thats quite fun, hide and seek is always good, my eldest (he is only 3 but if you ask him he says he is 14!) likes to play on the pc on cbeebies and nick jr websites or there is other games sites that are safe like miniclip, when we were young we like to pretend we were hairdressers and get all the hair stuff out and have mum come and visit us (so wish i had a girl to do that lol) sometimes getting them to do some housework gives them something to do and they sometimes enjoy it (well my kid does anyway loves to polish) make music with pans and spoons and things, or let her play with cups and things in the bath with some bubbles (we used to make beer as it had a frothy head no drinking it tho obviously)

Could you all learn a new craft together like origami or knitting?

You could ask her to help you design table names/numbers etc. My bosses daughter got married last week and and was a teacher - all her kids drew pictures of a bride and groom and the best 10 she used as table names, and the kids name to identify. Was dead sweet! Although could be classed as child labour :-/

What about making jewellery, then she could wear what she made to the wedding maybe, its cheap n easy to buy wire and beads, etc or you can get wee kits for less than a £5. x
