So my htb has chosen his best man... The problem is I don't like him or trust him one bit! My htb chose him because he said he had had the most 'Laughs' with him and the most fun memories. The prob is he let's my htb down a lot, he always cancels nights out at the last minute, my htb will ask him to go some where with him and he just says no as he is working (he is a Taxie driver), them we will see him in town or some where and he just makes a excuse as to why is hi not working. To make matters worse my htb was diagnosed with OCD last year. He is coping with it very well now. but when he 1st got diagnosed he was a mess. His best man wasn't there fir him at all! He never ask how he was doing, and only got in contact when htb contacted him 1st. I know is htb's decision and I said he can choose he wants. It's just frustrating that I know who he chose is useless and htb doesn't see it. Sorry if I sound like a proper madam. I just need to get this of my chest! X

have you said all this to him? if it were me, id voice my concerns but leave him to it, surely he will look back on the day and regret his choice having him, as i can only imagine he will continue being a let down in the future til your h2b gives up on him

Sounds like one of thos one sided relationships where one let's the other get away with stuff due to when they are around they are fun and funny and flamboyant. And I know I used to do it, just let my friend get away with never being there for me and doing stuff without me etc because when we were together it was fun.
But unfortunately it's down to him to figure out , maybe suggest he ask him to be a usher (groomsmen) but have someone else add Bestman who your oh can rely on.

I would express my concerns (and reasons behind those concerns) then tell him that its not uncommon for people to have 2 best men these days and since there's every chance this guy won't even show up to the wedding it may be best to appoint someone who is dependable and have this guy in charge of organising the stag rather than delivering a speach about a couple he doesn't seem to give a sh*t about.

I have talked to him, he did understand my concerns but still wants to give his best man a chance. He has picked some good grooms men so is this best man lest him down we do have back up choice :). X
