Got our Save the Date cards today.....(can you tell we were excited, coming striaght from our venue to the supermarket!)

They were £2.50 for 10 inc (silver) envelopes from the supermarket begining with T

H2B wants to send them now.........i say Why Not!!!!
Who says you gotta wait til 12 months before the date?

Exactly... I don't see a written rule that says it has to be 12months & hey why can't yous be different lol!!

I am already struggling with this not telling people stuff & I have ages to go... I am bursting so you shout it from the rooftops via STD cards x

Its so hard isnt it!!!
I cant understand why people dont want to know every little detail!! LOL

I get so excited by things. H2B doesn't ever want to tell anyone anything and he wants it all to be a secret/surprise to everyone!

I have tried explaining i am the bride and even a google image of the flowers i like gets me all excited!
Now i gotta keep my mouth shut?!

we got ours from print of vista, business cards. Free, just paid postage. figured they would do the job just as well

Anastasia you are a better woman than me!!! I couldnt keep my mouth shut at all. As soon as we had told our mums I made sure everyone knew lol. Im sure it will be a great surprise for everyone, I guess they will have to know soon, at least the guests lol as they will have to RSVP in a couple of months xxx

I did the same as Janie and got mine from Vista print as business cards, they look fantastic and are just right for save the dates as im gonig to be spending enough on wedding stationary didnt want to spend anymore than necessary. Send them out soon its exciting im just waiting for confirmatiin from my church before i finally send them out

I got ours from print vista and i also got our RSVP cards from there too.

on our save the date cards we have got some self adhesive magnets and are putting a strip on back to make them into magnets.

We sent ours 2 years in advance. But that's because I'm an Aussie and all my family back home need time to save! lol

Who cares about the rule - aren't rules meant to be broken anyway?

We sent ours about 16 months before the wedding. It gave guests time to book accommodation, time off work, travel arrangements etc, as it was peak season in Gretna and gets booked up quite quickly there.

Tbh there isn't a rule as to when you send them out anyway. It's up to you when and how you organise and plan your wedding.

Just got to take a few to the post office for family in america then all will be sent!

Think we will send the invites early too.
Wedding in August (bank hol w/end) so im thinking invites (day) to go out March with RSVP by May
Evening invites to go May to RSVP by mid June
Does this sound ok?
Thinking it gives us time to maybe bump a few evening guests if any days decline

i gotall my wedding stationary from vista print...its amazing!!!! i sent out my save the date 2 years in asvance as its an abroad wedding and gave people a chance to save, our party back here we will send out invites 6 months before as its just the party and send it early enough to get rsvps for food......stuff the rules
