My sister is my chief bridesmaid, at the moment she is 8 months pregnant but by my wedding the baby will be 8 months old. I have brought a dress that match the bridesmaid dress colours and a little fur bolero, it is quite "bridesmaidy" but being 8 months old I doubt she will be walking so I have never thought of her as a bridesmaid BUT today I found that pretty much every member of my family think the baby is going to be a bridesmaid.. I don't even know how an 8 month old can be a bridesmaid?! I'm happy with them saying she is one but am I going to have to get some sort of flower or wand for the baby? or just leave it? It wont cause any problems but I don't want anyone thinking I'm leaving the baby out. This sounds so silly lol

We have my h2b's nephew who is going to wear a little suit etc but he isn't actually a page boy as he is way too young for it. Its nice to see them dressed up etc and it will look cute but that doesn't mean they have to be walking down the aisle with you etc. Does it really matter if she is called a bridesmaid or not?

I really don't mind whether she's called a bridesmaid or not, I think its dead cute but I don't know what to do about getting her a flower or wand, if I don't get one is it going to look like I'm leaving her out but if I do, is it going to be a waste because shes only a baby? I know its a silly thing to worry about but I don't want to upset anyone!

I wouldn't worry abut upsetting anyone as I don't think anyone would expect you to have her carried down the aisle with you. If she is 8 months old most of the wands are not suitable for her as they have bits that can come off etc. I think a pretty dress is more than enough for her.

Hey!
I'm having my twin girls as bridesmaids! I'm hoping they are walking by July (they are just coming up to 11 months old now) They are crawling and will stand but still fingers crossed! If they are walking then great and they will walk down the aisle with the pretty wands I bought! If not then they can sit with nanny and grandma and wack each other with the wands! Lol! I wouldn't have bothered if they were under 12 months old as even now EVERYTHING goes in their mouth! xx

I wouldn't get her a wand or anything to hold my daughter is 7 months old at the mo n would only hold something like that for about 5 mins until she finds something more interesting to grab lol. She will be 14 months at the time of our wedding and will be our flower girl but we're not even getting anything for to hold then cause i know it will just end up on the floor lol x
