Just wondering what people thought the average spend was on flowers?

I'm on a tight budget but the flowers are an important part of the wedding to me - they just look so damn good!

    Thanks,

    Alice xxx

I actually spent less than £100 on mine... I went for artificial flowers which cost me £80 all together for a bridal bouquet and 4 x bridesmaids bouquets. They were lovely as well.

If you are on a tight budget speak to some independent florists they offer a better price than most shops and normally do both artificial and real.

I'm going to try and spend less than £100 on flowers. I'll probably buy a bunch from somewhere like m$5 and tie a ribbon around it!

Mine are costing £550 however that is a huge bridal rose bouquet, 1 bridemaids bouquet, 2 flower girls bouquets, 5 button holes, a top table arrangement (also to be used for signing table) and the full staircase done out with rose, Ivy and white muslin swagging (that alone is over half the cost but looks beyond stunning when done!)

That sounds like a really good price Faye.

Going artificial myself, with just the one real display for the signing table, to be then used for the top table.

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions! It hadn't actually occurred to me that I could use artificial plants/flowers, perhaps a bit of a mix would look good!

Faye, that staircase is going to look amazing - prime photo position!

Ideally I'd like to have 8 table centerpieces, the top table arrangement, brides & bridesmaids bouquets (I have 3 bridesmaids), buttonholes for about 6 people and of course there's the flower girl to kit out and flowers for the ceremony. I've just been freaking out about how much there will be and the cost of it all!

I've budgeted £200 for flowers. My friend is a florist and is doing mine. I'm having artificial because I'm allergic to most pollens. I'm having my bouquet, 5 bridesmaids bouquets and 12 buttonholes. It should come in way below budget though. The flower girls are having baskets with artificial rose petals.

Alice - How old are your flower girls.

A friend of mine got married last year and instead of flowers, her FG carried a teddy bear which was dressed in the dame colour dress as the bridesmaids.

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

We spent less than £100 for our flowers. That was us getting my bouquet 3 bridesmaid bouquets a smaller version of mine to toss and 6 buttonholes. H2b has a double buttonhole and the rest just have single flower buttonholes.
