Me and Steven have booked our church but are deciding between 2 venues - we have our date set and would like to inform everyone now as it's December 12th - are they worth sending out to let everyone know then the invitations to follow? I found some cute quirky ones :)

I think it would be worth sending them out, especially considering people tend to be busy in December. Will mean that people who really want to be there will make sure they keep it free :)

I think its a good idea too as people get busy doing their bits and bobs around Christmas. Some lovely ones about for cheap if you have a good look then you dont have to spend too much if you arent sold on it just yet x

Think it depends on time of year. We sent save the date magnets out as we are getting married in JUly on Saturday and due to it being near summer hols we wanted to warn people of date:)
If it's close to christmas personally I would send save the date as people are getting ready for Christmas and have events on

They are definitely worth doing, but I Personally don't see the point in spending cash on STD (unless you have loads of spare cash) id rather spend money on other things and invites, but we wanted to let everyone know the date as we having a weekender so want to make sure people put it in diary , pretty much everyone who is coming is on fb so I just tagged them in a photo and had it set to private , so only people who are tagged see it, so then people don't feel ohhh I not been invited.e.t.c the photo is the same as my profile pic on here , free, I got to see who saw it by the comments or likes , if anyone hadn't commented or liked I sent in a PM to make sure they got it as I know things can be missed pretty easily if not a regular fb user :)

I think they are worth it if your wedding is near a busy time like summer hols or Christmas etc. People were asking us the date 13 months before to check they weren't going to be on holiday, so we sent save the dates around then.

I think it is a good idea just to give people a bit of notice before the invites go out it is quite close to
Xmas so gives people a chance if they need to Book accommodation and get organised for it and some may even be able to tell you now whether or not they can attend. Xx

Even just an email, a fb message or a text would suffice if you don't want to send actual save the dates! As long as people know and are aware of the date that's all that matters. x

I've found some gorgeous little tag looking cards that are £7.00 for 100 where you can write on them yourself and they give you the stencil etc - i think your right, being so close to christmas i will need to send them out xx

We're making our own, just waiting on the wax seal to be made and delivered. Our wedding is a bank holiday weekend so we're giving people plenty of notice in case they book holidays. :)

Depends on how far in advance it is, and when it is, we sent STDs for ours about 18/20 months before, as our wedding is on a weekday and the first week of school holidays. So people don't book to go on holiday.
