Ladies, just to flag in case anyone is honeymooning soon (or just holidaying) in Vietnam in the near future that there is a lot of violence there at the moment due to issues with the Chinese.
I hope no one's trips will be affected if you are going.
Hubby and I were planning a trip there in October but decided to not go now as many. Chinese are being targeted no matter where they're actually from and some have been killed. Of course though any violence will affect anyone out there even if you're not personally being targeted.

I was there last month and I am going back on Friday! :s
Although I am not too worried at the moment as we have been living in Thailand for the entire time the recent bout of political conflict has been going on (they declared martial law here this morning!) and its been way worse on the news than what we have actually experienced...found the same when we went to Cairo a couple of years back ...thats obviously not to say that it isn't serious situation - we will be keeping our wits about us, hopefully it will be localised and confined to the more rural/remote areas - if anyone is going and wants any info then send me a message and I will let you know how we got on. :)
