    we are having
Poem scrolls! With ribbon in our colour!
    and some home baked cookies!

Sugar almonds are nice and cheap too and come in some fantastic colours
and the bags to put them in are really cheap on the bay!

Or handmade bracelets for the ladies and whiskey or cigars for the boys!

Croc made some lovely handmade cuff links and bracelets for her wedding and they were only £1 each but look amazing. I would be more than happy if someone gave me one of those.

I also like the baking idea with the biscuits and you can also ice them with the names of the guests to double up as place cards too.

At Christmas you get tubes of sweets for £1 - well some of these tubes have a very long shelf life - we got tubes of fruit pastels and dairy milk for 30p a tube in the Jan sales this year and they had until September on them - in the dairy milk tubes you get 15 sweets - so bags/ boxes you could have the filling for 10p per person xxx

We've decided not to go with sweets as we're having a candy buffet. Also I would say to anyone having sugared almonds remember your nut allergy sufferers I know id be ok not eating them and being around them on the table but my friend would have a reaction if someone in the same table was eating them Xx

You dont need to do any favours. Its an extra cost that you could use the money elsewhere. Look at it this way its a waste of money as look how many actually get left behind and forgotten about. Yes they do look nice on the table but thats why you have table decorations. I doubt anybody would notice that you dont have any favours either XxX

If cheap is the number one priority I would suggest some wedding themed bubbles, they are cheap and cheerful. I got mine from here: LINK REMOVED - PLEASE READ THE RULES THREAD
Another cheap idea I am doing is getting some glass jars or mint tins and then I am going to fill them with jelly beans and haribo sweets to create a real colourful look. best of luck to you x

I wanted to spend £1 or less per person as we have approx 90 guests (although 15 of those are children which I will be making activity packs for). I like the idea of charity pins for women, perhaps those little cigars for the men, but as everyone doesn't smoke would this be right?! H2B is a smoker so he would love it, as much as I have told him there is no wedding if he doesn't quit. We are also having a sweet buffet so trying to steer clear of anything edible. xx
