Loads of things really.. I literally have NO money and with so much left to buy i dont know what to do! I also feel that i have no control over whats suppose to be the best day of my life because its abroad (im sure we all feel like that with it being abroad) And im the one planning EVERYTHING!!

I must admit I am a control freak but went for the easy option & I am letting the travel agent & wedding coordinator do it all as I just want to relax & enjoy it without the usual stress in my life lol & my job is very demanding so it would make me ill... I have one main stress to concentrate on alone & that's getting on the plane pumped full of Valium for a 10+ flight!

Thanks for your email.
Yes - That is the fee for affidavits to be prepared for both of you. Vat would be £30 so £180 in total.
The fee that you have been quoted previously (£5) is a standard oath fee for a client to swear an affidavit as true on the basis that the documents have already been prepared by another solicitor. (I suspect that whoever you spoke to did not realise that you needed specific affidavits drafting and I apologise for this). The reason for this charge is that a solicitor who prepares an affidavit for a client cannot then have it sworn in their presence and therefore another local solicitor would see the client and have the affidavit sworn in their presence for the nominal fee of £5.
Our fee of £150 plus vat is for the preparation of the affidavits for the both of you. Once they have been prepared, you would then need to take them to another solicitor to swear them as true and they would then charge you the £5 each for that part.
Does this make sense?
Of course, if you have already had the affidavits prepared then our fee would be just £5 each for you to swear the documents.
