    Hi ladies,

I gave birth to our first baby, a little boy called Aedan, on the 12th June this year.
He's 5 months old tomorrow and i don't know where the time has gone!! He's amazing! He's rolling over, just about sitting on his own and he's loving his fruit and veg puree too!
For all those mummies who are weaning, how is it going?? xx

Hey hun. I'm mum of two and a nursery nurse, I have to say I never known a child like my 10 month old she never touch puréed food. She was baby lead which means she's ate normal food. (Cooked carrots bread and butter etc) since she was 6 months and her teeth came thru all she ate was what we ate so much easier. She has all ways feed herself which its great as I don't have to have cold food anymore. Lol.

So is Aedan your first? How are you finding it? Xxxxxx

    Hi Nicky,

My baby Freddie is 5 and a half months and we've just started on the Ella's Kitchen first tastes this week. I'd like to go down the baby led route as well as purees and plan to make them from scratch once he's having more than a couple of spponfuls! I have to say some of the faces he's pulling are hilarious. And we have tooth number one through today - I'm such a proud mummy :-)

    How are you finding it?

Aww, is Freddie enjoying his food?

It's going really well thanks! Aedan is loving his food. We started with baby rice with puree mixed in. Now I make my own puree, freeze it in ice cube trays and put a couple of different ones together for him each day. He's also started on finger food and is enjoying feeding himself! I'm also trying baby led, he's eating when he's hungry, not when I decide he should :)

Yes, he's my first and I must say, being a mummy is even more amazing than I could ever have imagined! :) xx

I did that with my older one. She was an fantastic eater and still is. She started asking people for food so my brother gave her a spicy curry me starting to panic that it was gonna be hot and ran to get milk. She asked for another bite. It just goes to show that atb that age they eat any thing. Lol.

It the best feeling in the world to a mum. So are you both thinking of having more kids in the future? Xxxx

Curry? That's awesome! H2B is desperate to try Aedan on curry (H2B is half Indian) but i'm so scared it will give him a funny tummy! lol.

Yeah we'd like one more, maybe in 3/4 years time. We're i no hurry and want to spend a few years as just the 3 of us before we add anymore. Plus we'd like to be married before number 2 arrives. How about you? xxx

Yeah, she a human dust bin. They both are. Lol. With the curry you could purree a mild one to start with. That's what I did with my 1st. The baby has it to. You just have to start mild. He may spit it out at first as it's a new flavour.

Yeah we are planning on having more, I want a big family as I come from a big family. we are even looking into adopting as well. Xxxx

He liked Korma! I let him try some of the sauce, but he had an almighty poo the next day! Lol.

I am really excited for Christmas! I'm a proper David Bailey, taking pictures of everything at any opportunity too! Haha. Poor kid, lots of photos to embarrass him with once he's older! Are you looking forward to Christmas? xx

Sorry to jump on this thread but I just had to say I did baby led weaning with my son. We started at about 5 months, he is no 14 months and will eat absolutely anything!! He has such a healthy appetite, he eats when he is hungry, and when he is full he leaves whatever is left and gets up from his chair and carries on playing (he has a little table and chairs). I don't ever have to worry about what Sonny will have for his meals because he eats what we eat!!!! I would recommend baby led to anyone!!! xx

Hey miss_finch yah I agree with you. Its a shame round the health visitors in my area Don't recommend it. My two year old does the same and eat what ever I cook for me And h2b and my 11 month old eat what what I make for us as well. I would really annoy me if my girls started being fussy. Xxx
