    Hi,

I'm new to the UK bride forums. I'm Deborah and I'm getting married in 2017.

So this weekend I went to try a few more dresses, wasn't planning on buying but I did. I would just like to know how many of you have got the dress who are marrying in 2017?

The reason I wasn't going to buy was I thought it would be too soon. So these thoughts have kicked in since buying the dress and now I'm thinking have I chosen the right one? It's completely different.

It was one that the store lady picked after I'd picked mine and put them back. Once it had the veil and head piece it looked amazing. I'm just a bit worried as it's completely different will it still have that wow factor or is it just the nerves kicking in?

Have any of you had the same thoughts and feelings?

Look forward to hearing from you all,
    Deborah

If you think you have found the one then I don't think it's too early, when I the year are you getting married?
Maybe put the dress away for a while and try it again in a few months, when it will be fresh and you can call in love with it again.

    Hi
I'm getting married in August 2017 and I found my perfect dress a couple of weeks ago.
I was just looking at styles and fell in love with mine.

    Hi Steph,

I'm getting married in Oct 2017 and bought my dress in Jan this year. Slightly different situation to yours but I was in a position where I was regretting buying my dress. Me and mom were shopping just to check out the shop as budget had significantly reduced. Tried on my dress and it was perfect. I loved it and ended up buying it. Got home and sister and dad were so negative that I regretted buying it.
Tried it on 2 months later and fell in love again. Now I keep the photos close to remind me when I feel down about things.

Definitely leave it a while and go and try it on again. You will have a fresh pair of eyes on then and not blurred by all the other dresses you have tried on so will help you see your dress for what it is. For me that was all I needed to confirm it was perfect. Fingers crossed it is for you too xx

I found my dress at the beginning of November, getting it in 2wks as we've had to save for the deposit. I had no intention of buying, I just wanted to get an idea of what looked nice on me and I've gone for something different to what I thought. When I saw it on the hanger I thought there's no way that's going to look right on me and when I saw it I cried.....it doesn't matter when you're getting married, you know if that's your dress!! X

Thank you ladies I am feeling a bit better about it now. I think its different and one I didn't pick, but when I put it on I smiled and with the veil was even more special. So maybe it's my nerves, just want H2B to think wow. It doesn't show much but I'm not comfortable with that so maybe its best. X

Hiya, I brought mine in August and getting married July 2017, when you fall in love you fall in love and nothing should take that away. You will question yourself sometimes but when you try it on again you will be reassured. Just remember you chose it for a reason! x

As long as you are comfortable wear the dress and you can see yourself walking down the aisle with the dress on then that's what matters, it doesn't matter what other says or thinks. It's yours and your partner's special day, don't let anyone else ruin it x

Ahhh I completely understand how you're feeling! I am also a 2017 Bride and I bought my dress a couple of months ago. I have only tried it on the once, as it was at a Trunk show and it won't be in the UK again as it's Riki Dalal from Israel, so I can't go and try it on again! I had to buy it on that day to be able to get the hefty discount, so even though I said I wouldn't buy anything without trying it on loads of times, I did the complete opposite!
It was SO different from what I thought that I wanted, it has sleeves and it's not got a low back, and I've custom ordered it to basically be completely different to the picture that is online, so I can't even imagine what it's going to look like in a year's time when it's done! The only pictures online do it no justice, so I'm a little bit jittery now!
I'm sure I'll love it even more when I get to try on a dress that is specifically made for me, and not a size 6 like the one in the shop, and is Ivory even though I tried on white!
I've just put it to the back of my mind for now, and have started planning other stuff to take my mind off the anticipation of wearing it again! X

I know I get married in 2016 but just thought I'd say along with the other ladies that if its the one you fell in love with, then don't worry about buying early.
I bought mine a couple of days after Christmas last year and just had my first fitting and still love it just as much now as I did when I picked it. X
