    Hi there,

We are set to renew our wedding vows in May 2023. We have no plans yet! Although I have emailed a beautiful place where we pictured getting remarried.

Any tips on where to start? Xx

Hey Rachie, I have no experience in renewing vows, I am only just starting to plan my first wedding (so exciting).

Set a budget and try to stick to it, or prepare a savings plan so you have a rough idea of how much you can spend, always plan for overspend.

For me and my partner we wrote down a list of 5 things we really wanted from a venue and that helped up to decide.

Check out Etsy, they have lots of beautiful hand made items.

Local small suppliers often do good deals on hire items.

Always haggle for the best prices, as prices are so over inflated to begin with.

Try to save money wherever you can, offer to display supplier business cards in return for discount.

Enter competitions to win free wedding items.

Go to local wedding fairs as they offer special discounts if you book with them.

Marks and Spencer’s do wedding cakes and they are very reasonably priced, they are listed on their website.

If your looking to save money on flowers I would suggest using silk, foam or paper flowers.

For favours, something simple like bubbles or a pack of love hearts.

For confetti you could create your own by using a cutter to cut out shapes from leaves, that way they are biodegradable.

You could collect leaves and dry them out to use as decorations, the same applies to pine cones.

Hoops are in at the moment for table decorations.

Check out Facebook selling sites for pre owned wedding items, they often go for good prices.

Maybe check out some car boot sales too, you never know what you can find.

Good luck with your wedding :)
