You are getting married, how exciting! I imagine that your head is full of so many dreams, hopes, and aspirations for your wedding day. It’s your day and you want it to be perfect. it should be everything you want it to be. I am Deborah and I am an award winning professional celebrant trained and registered with the internationally recognised Fellowship of Professional Celebrants. I cover the whole of Yorkshire and am happy to travel further afield if requested. I feel very privileged to meet so many couples in my role as a wedding celebrant, to listen to your stories and to create a truly bespoke wedding ceremony with you that reflects your unique journey and personalities.

Why a celebrant led wedding? Once you have completed the legal registering or paperwork if you like, A celebrant led wedding ceremony gives you the freedom to be married and to celebrate that marriage at any venue or in any setting of your choice. Outdoor wedding, tipi wedding, forest wedding, beach wedding, urban or barn weddings. With a celebrant led wedding you are free of the constraints associated with church or registrar led weddings. Your love knows no boundaries and why should your wedding ceremony be constrained by somebody else's rules?

I am a listener and a storyteller. As your celebrant, I will take the time to get to know you both before the wedding ceremony. This allows me to write a ceremony that will be full of love, joy, laughter and a little bit of magic. No standardised scripts here. This will be a ceremony that you and your loved ones will remember for life.

I am experienced in performing symbolic rituals such as handfasting, sand ceremonies, tea/gin/wine blending ceremonies and more. I’ll try anything once, assuming it’s safe and legal! so why not consider creating your own symbolic ritual.

Ceremony is beautiful. It is creative, reflective and engaging for you and your wedding guests. As I get to know my couples, to see their personalities, their likes, dislikes, how they are attuned and how they are different I begin to create ceremony. As a civil celebrant I can hold your ceremony at the venue of your choice. Indoor, outdoor, barn, tipi, garden, castle urban warehouse - the possibilities are endless. Your venue is such a personal choice so be free of any restrictions when choosing. Say yes to the dress, yes to the venue, yes to each other (we hope!), but most importantly, say yes to a ceremony that is all about you!
