I'm an independent celebrant from Northamptonshire, offering unique and personal wedding and renewal of vows ceremonies for lovely couples to cherish for the rest of their lives!

I am a fun-loving, fully trained and insured Independent Celebrant located in Northamptonshire, close to the Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire borders. I specialise in ceremonies for couples and families, and I am a very proud member of the Association of Independent Celebrants. I have conducted many legal wedding ceremonies over the years as a wedding registrar, so I have knowledge of legal marriage issues as well as good organisational skills, making sure that everything during your ceremony works to plan.

Enough about me - what about your ceremony? There are times in our lives when we don’t want to have the same as everyone else. We have our own ideas! Having your wedding in a Registry Office or a hotel is fine, but you will be having the same wedding that every other couple has, with ‘identikit’ wording. No religious content or songs. Your ceremony will last between 15 and 30 minutes. Usually the Registrar only has a short time to meet you to discuss your ceremony - and that will be immediately before you are married. OK you will be married at that moment, but it’s not the only way………

As a celebrant I have an entirely different role altogether. I will engage with you from the moment that you book my services for your wedding day. No time restrictions! You can have that romantic ceremony in a tipi, or maybe in the forest, or even in your favourite pub or restaurant. Pop in a hymn, a handfasting, or that champagne toast - suddenly it is all possible! A beautiful wedding indeed!

I will work with you to tell your love story to your guests. Nobody will have heard the ceremony before, and your guests will definitely remember it for the right reasons.

You will work with the same person throughout, from your first meeting through to the day itself. At the first meeting between us - which will last up to 2 hours - you and your partner will talk, and I will listen, giving a firm foundation to write about you both in the script from start to finish. I will help you write your vows if you want to and will certainly arrange to keep them secret until the day, if that’s what you want. Sometimes the best bits of the ceremony are secret till the moment that they happen!

All you and your partner need to do is just pop along to a pre-booked meeting with the Registrar to complete the legal formalities of a Marriage Registration a day or two before your special day.

Let's start with a meeting in person so we can get to know each other, and you can tell me your wedding plans. From our first no obligation conversation through to your ceremony you can relax knowing everything is taken care of. From there we can create a unique ceremony just for you, adding in everything that reflects your personality. Your script will be created with your thoughts, ideas and dreams that we have discussed at great length. I'll help you with readings or writing your vows if you want me to. I am happy whether in a field, with wellies and a brolly, windswept in the rain, or at a more formal ceremony in a castle. I love laid back, fun filled ceremonies that are full of happiness and laughter, and I am equally enchanted with smaller intimate affairs. I would feel very privileged to be part of your day, and honoured to be entrusted with the creation of your ceremony.
