Family run business based in a period building with 8 en suite bedrooms, Restaurant and Events floor perfect for weddings/events.

A fusion of country house meets city chic - Destination City Centre Wedding Venue.

We are a small family run hotel and restaurant situated in the busy heart of Liverpool.

Once a private gentleman’s club, this historic building is now the home to the Racquet Club Hotel & Ziba Restaurant – open to all.

Whether you would like a small intimate wedding day or a huge party we are the perfect city centre wedding venue setting.

We take an individual approach to your requirements helping you through every detail of organising your big day.

We can also accommodate civil ceremonies at our hotel.

The Racquet Club can cater for small events and up to larger conferences, canapé parties, sit-down buffets or formal dinners. No matter what your requirements, we shall try our very best to meet any special requests.

We host all manner of events; the Hotel is a fantastic place to hold both corporate and private gatherings. It is perfectly situated in the business district for breakfast meetings, networking events, corporate launches and we specialize in high quality private dining for up to 130 people. We pride ourselves on providing top quality catering for your delegates either in your meeting room or in our restaurant.


Our function floor can either be split up by dividing walls for the smaller functions or opened up for the larger events.

We booked our venue after attending an open day, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The venue is gorgeous and they were fantastic with our little boy and baby girl. Wouldn’t dream of choosing anywhere else.

The Most Amazing Venue
We had our ceremony at another venue but had a full wedding breakfast and evening party at raqcuet club. I am a very organised person and the team answered every email or question I had within 24 hours. This made me feel totally relaxed we were able to drop all luggae etc off the day before so i could fully relax on the day. On the actual day it all went so smoothly the staff made not just me and my husnband feel special but the whole wedding party. My nephew fell asleep during his meal it was no problem for them to cook him a fresh plate later on. All the food was gorgeous and I still get guests talking about it now. Especially the evening meal lasagne and mini pies. I worried that the venue would be to big and guests would be spread out however on the night every room was filled comfortably. We had about 110 in the evening and everyone had plenty of roon. I really enjoyed how the main room was full with people dancing but the other rooms gave place for people to sit in quieter spaces and have a drink and chat. Absolutley loved the Racquet club we are already planning to have a anniversary party there.

Perfect Venue
We got married here Dec 2018 and the day was perfect from start to finish. All guest commented how lovely the venue was and the food was the best they had tasted at a wedding. Laura and Sue are lovely and will help you with any enquiries. I only viewed 2 other venues and knew as soon as I walked in this venue was perfect.
