Information For Middleton Lodge

Set in the North Yorkshire countryside, Middleton Lodge has two individual wedding venues located on its grounds. Choose from the 18th century Main House, full of original Georgian grandeur or just a five-minute walk away is the wonderfully romantic Fig House, with views across the restored Walled Garden. The estate and venues can be hired individually or as a whole.

The Main House
The country mansion is perfect for traditional celebrations with family heirlooms, subtle tones and antique furnishings passed down the family’s generations. The six Reception Rooms and 16 bedrooms are centred around a grand sweeping staircase. For those looking to party into the night, there’s also a late-night cellar bar.
Host your ceremony in the Drawing Room, Hallway or in the summer months, under the Pavilion on the lawn. Drinks and canapés can be served in the Library Bar and Drawing Room, or in the summer on the private lawn and terrace. Your wedding breakfast will be served in the Dining Room for up to 35 guests or for the Marquee can host up to 180 guests.
The Main House is only available for exclusive hire making it your home for the day.

The Fig House
English country garden weddings are idyllic in the Fig House styled with velvet greens, fig trees and garden antiques, surrounded by the Tom Stuart-Smith designed walled garden. This beautifully restored wedding venue features floor to ceiling windows and doors, filling the space with natural light and stunning views across the garden.
Your ceremony will be held in The Boiler House Bar, or outside on the terrace and lawn. Your wedding breakfast is served in the Fig House. In the evening, guests can spill out onto the terrace and explore the beautiful gardens.

Accommodation
As well as your allocated guest accommodation, dependent on your venue choice, there are a number of bedrooms across the estate available from cosy, to family and romantic suites.
