A family run wedding venue in the heart of the Peak District. We specialise in weekend long DIY weddings where you can get married and celebrate and your family and friends can stay on site.

Hargate Hall in an impressive County House wedding venue set in the heart of the Peak District National Park. We are only a short drive from Derby, Nottingham, Manchester and Sheffield and in a very central position within the UK.

All weddings held at Hargate Hall are done on an exclusive use basis, and we are open the whole year round. You have the whole place for the whole weekend (4pm Friday to 10am Monday) .

We have had our wedding licence since 2008 and hold weddings here on most weekends throughout the year. As well as the main hall, there are also two licenced areas for outdoor ceremonies so you can make the most of the beautiful Peak District scenery. Hargate Hall is set in 7 acres of grounds which make a very good backdrop for photographs, but can also be used for having a picnic or playing games.

Hargate Hall has no in house caterers or stocked bar. You are free to select your own caterer either from our list, or one of your own choosing. We can run a pay bar for you, or you can choose to stock the bar yourself and run it as a free bar.

If you are planning a small intimate wedding then everything can take place inside the main building or if you are having a larger one, we have an onsite marquee which can be used as a dining room for up to 140 people. Whilst we offer the Hall on a self-catering / DIY basis we are available all the way from the day you first come to look around to the day you get married to help with any planning questions you may have. Between us, we can help you have the wedding you want.

The accommodation is made up of 12 self-catering apartments with a total of 22 bedrooms and a maximum sleeping capacity of 77 people. The layout of the rooms is perfect for families.
