Cave Hotel

Everyone is absolutely amazing, & helpful.

We have just celebrated our wedding day at the cave and wow. I don’t even know where / who to start with! So bare with this is going to be a long one!

We literally had the best day & night, everything from start to finish was above and beyond all expectations.

My bridal party and I arrived Friday and was warmly welcomed by Paolo who showed us into a car parking space & then kindly took all our luggage (and there was a lot!) to our rooms. We then checked in at reception which was smooth and efficient.

We had a cave room and junior suite which was perfect as they were adjoining which meant we had plenty of space between the two for getting ready and chilling. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are the comfiest beds you will ever sleep in! Also the yummy cookies were a lovely touch as was the cute little bear for our one year old.

Once we were all settled and unpacked it was time for dinner. I will leave a review on the Firepit page but dinner was outstanding to say the least.

On to the wedding day!

Majority of our guests had booked to stay for the night of the wedding which meant everyone got to relax and not worry about travelling and also enjoy the hotel and yummy breakfast the morning after.

We booked the Bentley to be our wedding car which is a real touch of added luxury, we were extremely lucky to be driven by the wonderful Peter, it was a smooth and calm journey back to the hotel from the church and we sipped fizz and soaked up a few moments of peace before the party started.

We were welcomed by toastmaster John when we got back and he run through the day. Having a toastmaster is a must it just makes the day run that bit more smoothly.

Food - canapés / wedding breakfast / evening buffet. Wow. All food went down an absolute treat. Absolutely delicious and all dietary requirements were able to be catered for. Huge thank you to the hard working chefs and kitchen staff.

Service - Yas and her team provided first class service, everyone was so kind and accommodating and made sure the day ran perfectly.

Megan - our wedding coordinator, has been on hand with all our enquiries, we were originally booked for September 2020 but due to covid we finally got our day 2 years later than planned. Megan has been consistent throughout and we can’t thank her enough for her all assistance with planning, organising and recommendations. And also being there on day and helping out, she is a star.

We used a few of the caves recommended suppliers and alongside our own our wedding came together perfectly. We will never forget our day and have the cave and it’s remarkable staff to thank for that, so thank you thank you thank you we can’t wait to come back for future celebrations x

We looked for a dog friendly venue for a wedding and reception and we couldn’t have found a more perfect place.Just amazing.Everyone made it special and nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful,friendly,helpful people that worked there.Our guests commented on the gorgeous venue,the delicious food,the friendly and efficient bar staff in the marquee run by Yas,everyone in the hotel and restaurant ,and what would we have done without the brilliant Megan who arranged it all.It is a special place to visit.

Where to start….. from the moment we turned up on the Thursday until we drove out of the car park on the Saturday, it was something special. I could try and name everyone who made our day (few days!!) so perfect but it was honestly every single person who we met, from reception to the deck for dinner and breakfast to the bar on the evening and the chefs on the night, was 100% the best food anyone has ever had at a wedding and everyone has messaged to say so! Just everyone there, thank you.

Please pass on the BIGGEST thank you, those words don’t even seem to express just how grateful we are. It’s the only time we will experience that day and if you didn’t have the staff you do, it wouldn’t have been as amazing as it was. Myself and Jack plus all of our family and friends have only had the most amazing and positive things to say. So many people have said it’s the best wedding ever which is an even bigger compliment from some of the oldies because, as they said, “trust me, I’ve been to a few” haha.

Please say a special thank you to Yas and all of the bar staff that night, I’m trying not to swear but bloody brilliant!! And to Paulo, absolute legend, enough said!

Megs we really can’t thank you enough, we had a vision and yes, ours was a very clear and precise one which other venues would have (and did!) not bothered with but from the moment we met you couldn’t have been more accommodating. Really you just took it from my brain, upgraded it and absolutely brought it on the day!!

We had the most special, perfect, magical, dream come true day and the Cave will always hold a piece of our hearts for that reason. We will back so soon and every year on 12th August for sure.

The venue bends over backwards to help with any queries. And the food is AMAZING!!!

Thank you Abbie and your team once again for giving us such a perfect day.

Just wanted to say thank you to you both for such an amazing day. Everything went so smoothly and we really couldn’t believe how special it was.
Can you pass on my thanks to everyone that was in that day and Yasmin and her team as everywhere we went there were smiling faces and just a great service.
You have both been brilliant and it’s really appreciated.

We had our wedding at the cave in July it had been postponed from during covid, Megan and Yaz were amazing through out the whole planning process and the whole day going above and beyond to make our day very special, all the staff we very helpful and friendly, the food was outstanding and we have had nothing but compliments from all our guests. The rooms were amazing extremely clean and comfortable. Would love to thank everyone at the cave and have already booked to go back for our anniversary.

Words can't describe how perfect the day was, it was what we dreamed of and more.

We are so thankful to Megan for all your hard work you have put in over the last few years helping us get everything to where it needed to be.

A massive thank you to Yas and the team on the day, 1st class service. They were more than happy to help with everything on the day and very accommodating especially with the amount of children running around.

We were the last ones to leave the marquee and it allowed us to reflect on what a wonderful night it was and it was everything we could have wished for.

We will be highly recommending the Cave for all.

Hopefully we will see you all again soon.

Yesterday 1st july we became husband and wife at the cave! We couldn’t thank all the staff enough for an excellent service and a two night stay with them. We would like to thank megan our wedding coordinator for giving us everything we wished for and being so accommodating with our journey on getting married. We would also like to thank yas for organising the day and setting up the marquee to how we want it. Couldn’t thank her enough for giving us everything we asked for.
Thank you to all the amazing bar staff Adam, Emily and dan on the night it was busy all night and they worked so hard to get everyone the drinks they asked for.
The food was incredible and everyone commented on the venue and the food.. thank you so much to all the staff.
