FAQ about UKbride's 3 Month Free Trial

I don't have time – why should I advertise in a nutshell?

UKbride is a leading national wedding website in the UK - but you may not know that we’re the most loved national wedding website too!

We have over 190,000 Facebook Fans, more 5-star reviews on Trustpilot than our main competitors combined, and one of the largest databases of brides-to-be in the UK.

We're offering three months advertising, absolutely free, on the most loved wedding website in the UK, with no upfront payments, no credit card details and no commitment to buy whatsoever, should you decide not to continue your campaign before the end of the ‘free, try before you buy’ offer.

You’ll have the opportunity to promote your business to brides-to-be in your area, potentially increasing your chances of securing more wedding bookings.

You'll be able to showcase your business to its full potential with a UKbride advertising campaign. No limits on text, photos, videos, reviews, and much more.

How does UKbride attract brides-to-be?

UKbride is found in thousands and thousands of wedding related search terms in the United Kingdom on various search engines like Google and Bing. Organic traffic to the site is by far the greatest way that brides find UKbride. We do not rely on organic traffic alone and heavily spend on websites like Google and social media websites too, like Facebook and Instagram. We have comprehensive marketing campaigns, email campaigns, and pay per click campaigns too. Feel free to reach out if these are of interest.

A UKbride member is a bride-to-be (or groom-to-be (2%)), who lives in the UK, and has registered on our join up pages, or joined up through our social media competitions, or our enquiry process.

Wedding businesses may receive several types of enquiries: quote requests, check availability and brochure requests for example. Each enquiry is emailed directly to you (and shown on your client dashboard) which means you don't have to login to UKbride each time.

What happens at the end of the free trial?

Our Order Form and Terms and Conditions about our marketing campaigns set out our terms very clearly. See https://www.ukbride.co.uk/wedding_business_terms_and_conditions_venues2024.pdf

If you are not happy for whatever reason you MUST cancel the campaign BEFORE the end of the free trial. So, just get in touch (in writing) and we will then show you how to obtain your STOP CODE or see section 4 of our Terms and Conditions entitled ‘Contract Duration’ for more information and clarity on how to opt out of the free trial - without the need of contacting our team at all.

So, to clarify, a free ‘try before you buy’ promotion, then one annual fee based on the package you chose – see section 9 of our Terms and Conditions for more details on pricing which is called ‘Charges and Payments’.

Let’s make this even clearer –

1 – A free unlimited advertising trial for 3 months.

2 – Then once your free trial ends (if you choose not to opt out beforehand) you'll be invoiced the Standard Charges based on the package you chose for the free trial.

3 – All prices are plus VAT.

If I contact UKbride to stop my campaign BEFORE the free trial ends, will it be stopped?

100% YES. Clients can stop their campaign at any given time at least one day BEFORE the free trial ends. You’ll need to obtain your STOP CODE to do so. We do ask though that you give the campaign some time to build momentum.

Will I get a reminder?

We don't send reminders during the free trial period, but we trust that you'll let us know if you decide to opt out for any reason.

Do I get a ‘cooling off’ period?

No, this is a business-to-business (B2B) agreement. We provide three months free of charge advertising, giving you the opportunity to try before you buy, and if you are not happy for whatever reason you can obtain a STOP CODE at any time. See ‘Can I Cancel at any Time?’ below.

If I contact UKbride AFTER the renewal date, will the campaign be stopped?

No, as this would breach the legal contract and agreed Terms and Conditions.

Obtaining a STOP CODE will only prevent further renewals of the campaign, not the current term. Our friendly Customer Services team remain on hand to assist you, whilst you have a campaign with UKbride.

Will I definitely get bookings?

Unfortunately like any marketing we cannot guarantee results, however, the more you populate your campaign the more exposure you receive across the website.

Some of the brides are in the first stages of wedding planning and some are looking to book right now.

When you receive an enquiry - you’ll get the bride-to-be's email address (unless she has chosen postal contact only), and some brides do supply both their email and postal address. Some brides-to-be supply their phone number too. Brides-to-be may also supply further contact details and wedding details at their discretion.

Will someone keep in contact with me throughout my free trial?

During your free trial, our primary goal is to allow you to explore our product independently and at your own pace. While we do not proactively reach out during the trial period, we are here to support you and if you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our support team. We are more than happy to help you make the most of your trial experience. We are open 9am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays (finishing at 3:30pm on Fridays). Customer support can be contacted on 0800 112 3 112. Our friendly team can also help you to obtain your STOP CODE if you feel that UKbride is not working for you.

Are enquiries directly interested in my specific venue/business?

Not necessarily. An enquiry indicates that a bride-to-be has requested more information and prices about your business or is looking for services similar to yours. On our join-up pages, we ask new members if they are interested in quotes from venues in their area, so you may receive enquiries like this.

It's important to remember that brides typically take around 18 months to plan a wedding, and some may request quotes earlier in their planning process than might be ideal for you. However, every enquiry is valuable, as marketing can be a numbers game. It may take time to cultivate enquiries into bookings.

Our goal at UKbride is to attract members to the site as early as possible to give you the best opportunity to turn these enquiries into bookings. If you don’t receive a response from a bride who has enquired, don’t be disheartened. This phenomenon, known as 'ghosting,' is common in the wedding industry. Be patient, as brides often start their planning well in advance.

74.9% of brides-to-be had not yet booked their venue at the time of joining UKbride.

Can I cancel at any time?

You can request a STOP CODE at any time, just get in touch (in writing) and we will then show you how to obtain your STOP CODE or visit section 4 of our Terms and Conditions for more information. If you STOP your campaign after your free trial has ended you will be charged the full amount for a 12-month campaign and your campaign will continue until the end of that 12-month period. This is non-negotiable and made abundantly clear in our Terms and Conditions.

If you don't stop your campaign at any point, your campaign will continue to automatically renew on an annual basis.
